GM Review: Vanquish – Insanely Awesome

Gamersmint writes : It’s been quite a while since I had played anything like Vanquish, it reminded me of mindless fun, fast and frenetic action sequences done right and a sense of urgency touching your mind throughout the course of the campaign. I can’t relate this qualities with any recent games and it reminded me of classic Japanese action games of past. Vanquish is as close to experiencing a rush of adrenaline as you experience when you enter a roller-coaster ride for the first time in your life. (PC, PS3, Vanquish, Xbox 360) 4.5/5

Truly amazing
definitely the best shooter I have played this year. Anyone who loves action-shooters should get this without any doubts

It’s the best realization of Metal Slug and Contra gameplay into 3D. Like Devil may Cry is the first best realization of hack and slash into 3D.

If they ever tray to make another 3D Contra or Metal Slug they should take this game as a road map.

You know man, I was thinking the same thing. What set me onto Contra was when that buzzsaw tank appeared with all the turrets and the glowing core. It was like a miniboss straight out of Super C.

Yes, and a lot more, from the Romanovs to the ARGO robots, the special weapons and trying to survive dodging snipers turrets beams and rockets at the same time.

Finishing the game on hard and finally killing the double bogyes is best satisfaction from gameplay I got in YEARS.
