What I Hate About Gamers

Jaleel from DamnLag writes: "I am a proud gamer. We are far past the days where playing video games was a niche. Video games are definitely my passion and it’s always fun to whip up a conversation with a fellow knowledgeable gamer, but there’s certain things I can’t stand about our culture linked to it."

This guy does have a point. Especially with the fanboyism. I HATE fanboysim. It really ruins some games I like.

Boody-Bandit4904d ago (Edited 4904d ago )

All I read was whine, whine, whine, whine, whine.

Who cares how we gamers are viewed? I was gaming back in the 70's, 80's and 90's. I never gave a shit what any one ever thought of my hobby or about me in general. I am of the opinion that this is my life. If you don't like it than piss off. I don't tell others how to live theirs.

As far as fanboys? There isn't one thing any fanboy or non gaming person can say to me that takes away from my enjoying gaming. I have a ton of friends that play a wide variety of games. We don't give each other shit for not liking something we do or playing a game we think isn't good. That's the difference between maturity and insecure, immature nitwits.

If you let fanboys ruin anything for you that is your fault and your fault alone. Not that of the idiot razzing you or slagging off your game(s).

Oh and BTW Jaleel (for those that didn't read the article he is the author), I have a Quake 3 jersey (cost big $$$) that I still wear sometimes when I game. It has my old PC gaming handle written on the back. It's comfortable and gets me in the right frame of mind to get my game on.

i hate something i like to call noobism
i mean in all of it ways
boosting, cheating. camping you name it

i just played with a protos player on starcraft 2
that guy had millions of canons in his base
i couldn't do anything so yah i even had 6 ultalisk and those could not even touch his wall
im talking about mass canons spam
billzard should do something about that

thats why i hate gamers they always try to play unfair just to win
which is very sad

How the hell is fanboyism related to your games? People have their own opinions. You enjoy playing your games and that's it.

MechaZain4905d ago

Fighting game fans who need to memorize every move have ruined the genre for me.

Shazz4905d ago

fanboys are just like supporters of any sport that is all so i dont see whats wrong about it . the ones that cant seperate having a bit of banter on internet from real life is when it becomes annoying .

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
