NowGamer: The success of Call Of Duty’s constant presence in the daily online diet of so many millions has, obviously, not gone unnoticed by the rest of the development community...

My PC needs a renaissance after some many bugs, lag crashes, CTDs, black screens and one BSOD

Um, Black Ops is riddled with bugs, glitches, performance issues and errors, even as noted by the above commenter.

It's not as bad as some make it out to be but there are significant issues that TA really screwed up.

I am having a few issues with framerate, lag (though not as frequent), glitches (custom controls resetting), freezes (3 beeps on PS3), etc.

I'm really pissed off with the sheer stupidity of the spawning system,

All of the above has a discussed fix, and it's just a matter of waiting for the patch. But I'm baffled that they couldn't figure out the spawn system. They are SO stupid that they are asking the community for examples to help them out. What BS. Should have had a proper beta.

Solid MP game otherwise though, COD gameplay is so competitive, fun, and intense (Team Tactical split-screen with friends is gold)

they're fixing the spawn system? link?

I've heard about them fixing the glitches, inaudible footsteps, and other things, but nothing about them fixing the spawn system.

It's the "#1 priority" for them, http://www.Twitter.com/Davi...

Honestly the damn spawn points and matchmaking issues are the only real problems.

Free for All is a hate filled nightmare for me at times with spawn points on some maps.

The game just loves dropping party members when you try and get together for a game, and it has taken me up to 5-10 minutes to find a game at points which leaves me with a broken experience.

Also hate Nuketown so much lol

The multiplayer renaissance took place when CoD4 came out. If anything, Black Ops has taken a step back. I'll still play it with my friends, but I'm now more excited for BC2: Vietnam.

My article would read as: "Why Black Ops signals the end of the CoD Empire"

I played it on PS3 its ok i am really disappointed in graphics. I really feel they could of done so much better. The gameplay to me feels very bland and nothing new. I found the RC car and Flamethrower pretty cool. The new cash system is alright but man its a pain if u are not a good player its gonna take you forever to earn stuff.

Also every match i was in had crazy lag.

I found a few people cheating to. In graphics wise for PC is pretty nice. I don`t know about multiplayer with the PC version i have not tried it yet. But i had fun with the SP.

This game could be really good just needs some work IMO.

I don't understand these lag complaints. I have had some minor lag but it has never been a slideshow.

Someone posted that it may be connected to your friends list, and I have only maybe 10 since I don't play online much. I wonder if that is actually the issue.

I agree with some of the spawning complaints, but I think that will always be an issue on Nuketown. It's just too small and people are always gonna camp like bitches in the spawn areas.

Also I would argue that the game gives you too much cash. I have never really struggled to buy a gun, or anything really. I wish they were all unlocked at the beggining and cost a very large amount of cash so I actually had to earn the ones I want instead of waiting to unlock them at a certain level.

That would have been more fun, imo, but I have enjoyed the game so far. I think it is MUCH better than MW2.

So now all new games with MP wil be full of crappy graphx, lag, crappy spawns, and glitchers. Great.

If any game started a multi-player "renaissance" It would be COD4. I Always fancied single-player over multi-player....Until COD4 came out. COD4 was the game that basically got me really interested with FPS games, and online.

Black Ops is fine. The main reason I bought it was to play with my friends. I had a feeling it was gonna be average.I like that now you actually EARN your kill streaks. What I don't like the fact that the gameplay feels heavy. I think its still better than MW2 since MW2 was the only game that I ever hated.

Thanks for the warning. I sure would have hated to have been surprised by installing a ubisoft game on accident.

Profchaos259d ago

Because you can't play all the games on every subscription already

KillBill258d ago

Valhalla is not on GamePass.

anast258d ago (Edited 258d ago )

I like Valhalla. The others haven't aged well.

The Pursuer from Dark Spuls 2 was great, I think the author just sucks at games.
