Could it become another million seller?

SilverSurferDude82584d ago

Oh I think it will be a million seller for sure. Good quality game + good advertising campaign + powerful series recognition + remake of one of the most influential games ever = 3 million+ world wide in my opinion.

DonkeyKingKong332584d ago

The fact is it's sad to see a game this good even sell 3 million to a userbase of 75 million. 1 in every 25 people that own a Wii buy the game? Seems low however that's still 150million made for a game that prolly only had a budget of 4 million and marketing campaign of 3 million.

I know that og GE007 was one of the best selling games of its day and also one of the best selling fps games ever of course prior to Call of Duty Modern Warfare, etc. Tight now as it always was.

WiiRemotes22584d ago

It would suck royally if it didn't

GodzillaOwns2584d ago

Online is Wii's best by the way..

WiiRemotes22584d ago

then something is wrong with people. WTF seriously. Buy this game if you own a Wii and like FPS games!

firelogic2584d ago

If you like FPS games, you wouldn't have a Wii and certainly wouldn't be buying any if you had a Wii as a secondary console.

MonopolyRSV2584d ago

This game is garbage. Much rather play the original.

Capdastaro2584d ago

Good game but when host drops my system would totally lock up and on SP the framerate drops a lot and sometimes hard to see the enemy with the poor visuals at times

Just a rent recommendation from me I'm afraid.

"...(INSERT HYPED 3RD PARTY TITLE HERE) proves core games can sell well on Wii..."

How many times have we heard this? The fact that people are still making this argument, what, 5 years into the wii's life cycle? It shows that 3rd parties aren't doing as well as they would like.

5 years into this gen we are still seeing a stream of devs closing their doors. From hd only developers. Countless games franchises ruined this gen for hd gaming.

The simple fact is most developers are over budget and use hd gaming as an excuse for that budget. This does not work on the wii.

The only fact at work here is devs are relying on better graphics to sell their game along with graphic whores being the spoke men.

This doesn't really work on the wii.

Then couple this to the fact that you've always been against the wii in some trolling manner does not help your statement. They actually say this every time a game does well like monster hunter, sin and pun including their own games.

I mean it's really sad you are trying to convince wii owners that there are no hardcore games or hits on the system.

Also the real reason why it's even still being said is because of people like you hat.

We have games that only the hardcore could love because the hardcore is the minority. We all know it. I have plenty of games to play when I take my vacation next week I'll have one more this week end.

On top of this which hd games are constantly selling millions or even 3 million since they do cost way more money to make.

Wii third party games are getting rarer. Third party games that aren't shovelware are even rarer.

Considering how rosy you try to make it sound, the reason for that is because they don't sell.

Furthermore, Goldeneye is far from being some huge hit to use as a shining example of an exception from the norm. It just didn't bomb like most.

Its called PR...
Look at Ubisoft, aside from RS2, Raving R, and Pop everything else they've developed is shovelware. When companies try they get good results.

NMH got a sequel, the conduit got a sequel, RS got a sequel, RE Umbrella got a sequel, Tri sold million plus, and COD on wii continue to sell well.

If you develop something you can be proud of, advertise it you will get a profit, otherwise sequels wouldn't be made -these companies don't make games for the hell of it they look for a profit.
