Cyborg R.A.T. 9 – Next Gen. Gaming Mouse ?

For some, the mouse which they use for gaming might not be the most important thing, however for others, it makes all the difference. Serious gamers are in for a treat with the newest gaming device from MadCatz, the Cyborg R.A.T.9 Wireless Gaming Mouse. This is not your ordinary gaming mouse, we believe that this “RAT” takes customization to another dimension.

Logitech for life. G15/G5 best combo I've ever used.

I'm sorry. PC gaming with a wireless mouse don't go together.

Perhaps you should read the whole article. I mention people just like you in it. :-)

Okay, I admit that I got owned on the latency and performance of this gaming mouse. At least I didn't get burned.:D Besides I have the R.A.T 7 in my Newegg wishlist.

I'm not really into wireless gaming mice any way, but I'm sure there are PC gamers who are.

I remember seeing this some months back on another site but I'm not too keen on wireless either. I'd consider buying it if there was a wired option.

edit: Seems the RAT7 is the wired one. Might pick one up some time.

Bolts2716d ago

That statement would be correct in 2004. Since we're on the ass end of 2010 that is no longer the case. For example I used to think all wireless headphones suck. The Logitech G930 I just bought just blew that view out of the window.

Shackdaddy8362716d ago

I disagree. I hate wireless cus you have to keep buying batteries for them. it gets really annoying after you go through 4 packs.

Wired all the way for me thank you.

Luke147892718d ago

hehe,
It's cool. I am considering the RATS as well myself. Seems very nice.
I know wireless might not be 100 "the best" for gamers, but I can't stand the cable, plus I'm no hardcore gamer anyways.
Thanks for the approve ssj2gohan83 btw.

if you are not harcore then buy 9 bucks Microsoft mouse. It works.

refbois2717d ago

I am sure that wireless scares every gamer, but this one seriously seems better then a lot of mouses out there. Whats the normal latency of a mouse that's wired vs. this one?

Incipio2717d ago

You did not just say mouses

Luke147892717d ago (Edited 2717d ago )

Both forms are correct for your information.

Oxford Dictionary states:
(plural also mous·es)a small handheld device that is dragged across a flat surface to move the cursor on a computer screen, typically having buttons that are pressed to control functions.

So please get your facts straight before attacking what someone else said. :-)

Incipio2717d ago (Edited 2717d ago )

In American English, the default plural is "mice", but mouses is only accepted, not encouraged.

I think even in UK English this applies as well. Because of the strong metaphorical relationship between computer pointing devices and the shape of an actual mouse, it is most commonly accepted that the plural form be "mice", so as to preserve the proper metaphorical relationship to the word which pertains to the animal, whose correct plural form is "mice".

Thanks for playing!

(P.S. The English language is a tad more complex than most think and not everything is solved simply by glancing at your nearest dictionary)

=)

Both forms are OK from what I can tell but I'd say 'mouses' is only acceptable when talking about computer mouses/mice.

Bolts2716d ago

Completely recockulous! I have never heard anyone use the phrase "we need to buy some more mice for the computer lab" its always "we need to buy more mouses". Simply because when you say mice the image in most people's mind is of the furry variety.
