GTPlanet: Gran Turismo 5’s “Course Maker” in Action, Gameplay Video
http://www.youtube.com/watc... It needs to have alot more customization options.. sort of like ModNation Racers. But I think that's kinda asking too much from a game with this much content already.
They can add more customizable options on no problem. I never expected to be able to make courses in the first place.
The differences between those two games are colossal, Lol. @spunnups I agree, I didn't expect that feature either. So even if it's not so complex, I think it's still a plus.
to this mode it needs a few more options but i wouldn't even mind if they sell us some more tracks via dlc since the disk itself is already giving us more than $60 worth of content
of customization is probably going to be implemented in GT6. I can't wait to see what it will look like by then.
Can't wait to see what kind of courses we all come up with. Looks like I'll be putting in more than my usual 400 hours into this GT title. 10 more days until my social life ends.
Social life? What is this you speak of? But yeah, I plan on spending a lot of time with the track creator.
You sir, made my day... EPIC reply... xD 10 more daysssss!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO!!! Does anybody know where i can get the Driving Force GT at the best price?
10 MORE DAYS HOLLLYYY SHITTTTT,I DIDNT REALIZE
It got all the cars of my dream and more. can't wait for the eye candy.
Boooooo. Anyone who plays GT with an Automatic isnt really playing it. Gear changes are just as important as steering.
I can see playing some cars with an automatic transmission but I really have to draw the line when people select an auto on a car that was never built with an automatic. Oh well, a manual is consistently faster anyway so maybe the auto drivers are helping us, lol.
I wonder how one would be able to tell if you were playing with auto and, if so, if that would be grounds for removing yourself or them from the game or something similar. I'm curious if it's a game breaker for someone to do that, assuming you can tell.
because i forget to change gears lol
How true it is, especially with my 89 5speed Firebird
Gear changing is very important and takes a lot of skill to do right. I try to do it but im just not that good at it so i use automatic shifting a lot of the time. What i think is very important though is playing with the in-car view. This not only creates a greater sense of realism but also a greater sense of speed. Watching this video and playing in 3rd person mode (where you see the entire car) makes it seem very slow, even when it reaches speeds of upwards of 200 kmph.
goty for sure, no doubt
With a bit of patience you could get a course layout like bathurst or any other street circuit pretty easily.
IMO not having Bathurst is a real miss for PD. Also the Surfers paradise track this year was meant to be fantastic. Would definately pay for a "down Under" DLC pack. Who doesnt want to take a Veyron over the mountain?
Great option, it's not the most in depth but I really don't care. This would drastically extent the longevity of this game. And i like that there are weather conditions and time options available just to add that little bit of difference to tracks.
1 word: definitive.
But it looks more like a generator than a creator, I was hoping to be able to lay down my own track in engine.
Yeah same. But overall it's still a nice feature to have. Edit: That menu music is amazing. I'm on my 6th replay of the video listening to it, lol.
It IS a generator rather than a creator. But the amount of options and input that the user has in the process makes it look worthwhile. I imagine that with some time and luck you can get some really great tracks out of it.
I already knew it was a track generator rather than a creator. Great addition all the same though.
New pair of pants anyone? Because we are all gonna need it for this monster of a game.
a supply of adult diapers.
Does anyone know if a demo will drop i got the prologue pack and was dissapointed same with time trial , be nice to have a demo to see if i like it.
true test of the driver will be to play a random track without the racing line and with no preview of course layout! sounds like fun.
And as i said before i was expecting more from the course editor. Oh well at least PD decided to include the option
more like tweaking randomly generated course than genuinely creating them, but still, it should mean there's a virtually unlimited variety of tracks to race on.
given the scale and detail of tracks used in this game, it should be appreciated that these guys were able to implement this feature to this game
