Will this game be worth a purchase for it's multiplayer aspect?

Never played an AS game.

NEVER played an AC game, wanted to get 2 but when I heard this was coming out so soon afterwards I reconsidered it...

Im also doubtful as you, should this game be worth getting? considering it along with GT5 for xmas...either that or something else?!

who knows =O

upon reading these top 10 I realize theres loads of stuff, present and past, 2 players, etc...I'm SO confused...must check it more =O looks good though, content!

I played the beta and it offered a unique and fun experience. I also hear that AC2 is pretty awesome.

The story is without a doubt one of my favorites for a new IP. I would play the games if you want the story. The multiplayer is going to be cool I don't doubt. I would pick up the first 2 if possible or watch the cutscenes online.

will take advice. I can't afford AC 1 ACII and ACBH all in one if I also want GT5

but I will probably get them for PC cheap or something

cheers =) will def. get BH for xmas! =D

I'd say yes. I played the Beta and loved it, and now that the bugs are fixed it'll be amazing. The singleplayer alone is reason to buy it, but you may want to pick up a cheap used copy of ACII just so you completely understand Ezio's story.

scotty care to give a quick overview of the online game and the gamemodes it offers? thanks.

Ghoul2750d ago

i played it for several hours now and i can say its by far the best in the series.

Awesome game, Ac`s Story is one of the best new approaches of storytelling in the Industry.
You wont regret it trust me, if you like any openworld game you will fall in love with AC

It really depends on your tastes. Personally I adore stealth games, MGS was one of my first video-games, and I adore the AC series. But I don't think many people will be still playing the online personally after a couple of months apart from a few die-hards maybe. A lot of people complained the beta was very samey and wasn't really fun. Personally I enjoyed it and I realise how hard it is to integrate a game based on stealth into an online component or game. Plus the idea of team-play has kept me interested in the MP aspect because I can see much more potential in it.

Plus, for me at least, the online had some issues between players. There were the players that just wanted to get kills and points and that would do the opposite to what you'd expect (i.e. instead of being quiet and stealthy, they would spend almost the whole game on rooftops in good view) and then there were the players that wanted to play stealthy. This made some games a bit dull or irritating on how things turned out, but I still think with friends it could be a bit of fun.

But if you're getting an AC game you gotta be in it for the SP.

Asassin's Creed 2 had an incredibly fun single player. One of my favorite games of 2009 and I definately recommend it, but the thing I find about Assassins Creed games and a lot Ubisoft games for that matter is they drop in price to right after Christmas.

So, if you are unsure about buying this game and if you haven't bought a Assassin's Creed game before I would personally hold off on this one for now and wait a little bit (if you are on a tight budget like me).

The first AC was beautiful, though it got a bit repetitive too quickly.

AC2 was a lot more fun & entertaining. You'd enjoy playing it.

If you've played AC or AC2 its a different story, but if you haven't played any, i'd say getting AC2 before jumping to AC:Brotherhood is worth it.

Really hope AC:Brotherhood is as good as they say...

i played it for some hours now,

its incredibly well executed, best sequel since halflife 2

Can't wait for this Friday, hope my copy isn't late, I'm itching to get into Ezio's story again!
