Cities XL 2012 allows players to become real urban planners, balancing economic & energy developments of their cities while managing transportation, housing, social services and recreational activities.

In short, it's a mediocre game. As before, this is one that only the most dedicated of fans will want to buy, and even then you should wait until it goes on sale. You're better off picking up Sim City 4 Deluxe for half the price and a quarter of the system requirements.
I don't think I'll ever play it if it's subscription based. I mean, I loved the beta.... but.... I just couldn't pay for it. Simcity free 4 life.
