With all the videogames released each and every month, it can be a difficult task to decide on which title to spend your hard-earned money. Granted, you could always go by our review scores alone and weed through the long list of names to find something that scored high or low, but what if you had somewhere else to turn?
Rather than wait until the end of the year for our big award blowout, we've created this monthly tribute to the weeks that were. The entire PlayStation Team has come together so that we can tell our readers what we thought was the very best game for each system last month... and why. Though some of us often chime in with our comments at the end of reviews, for the most part, the reviews on IGN are primarily written by one editor. In this feature we had every editor on the channel vote for a single title. What better way to represent a team is there than to speak your collective minds?
=)
warhawk rules
as multiplayer games get. The amount of strategy and skill that the fights slowly ratchet up towards is absolutely amazing. Talking trash never felt so good. =]
great months for gamers.
ADD ME f*ckers so we can play together from time to time..
bought it yesterday and I love it...

PS:
Wanted to add something interesting for PS3 owners..
I bought LAIR today and here's my opinion on it..
First of all lets point out the obvious, LAIR is beautiful.. Like I expected the ocean, the hugh environments, the lighting, the dragon wings.. WOW
The draw distance is hugh and the surroundings are big too with a lot happening at once. The combination is impressive
Now to the other obvious aspect which is the controls...
Surprisingly for me (I was very disappointed with the decision of F5 adding only sensor controls), it felt very comfortable and natural, I'm being very honest here..
It ain't near difficult to control the dragon, it even feels better to move the sixaxis, make it feels more real and it gets you more in the beauty of the game.
Controls aren't 100% accurate, I have trouble doing the 180 most of the time (maybe I suck at it) and it gets confusing (sometimes) when you're side by side with another dragons trying to smack him.
Alright now the to cons:
When the camera face towards the mayhem, that's when you get the frame rates issues, they are not that prolonged, but they are annoying when you're trying to enjoy the view while you swing your beautiful dragon to the side to turn around ( I've never seen something more beautiful to date in a game, like watching the dragon turn around slowly near the surface of the ocean with the sun and the horizon in the background).. sry had to write it..
Also... I like many things happening at once, but sometimes it gets a bit confusing with so many sh*t happening.. Don't get me wrong It's nice to have all that happening, but my first impression is that it gets confusing sometimes and I have to fly a bit away from the mayhem to organized myself..
Now the gameplay.. well yeah it's a bit repetitive, but it's not boring repetitive... it's just that in a dragon game there's not much you can do with it when you're trying to keep a rhythm and a deep story..
IMO the game is good, NOT a classic, not a system seller, but good nonetheless for PS3 owners who are looking for something different and for gamers like me that can let some things slide just for the graphics. (I'm a graphic whore just so ya'll know).
Controls are NOT and I repeat are NOT the reason you should let this game slide. It's just a matter of appeal and interest.
Visuals are undeniably beautiful, story is interesting, gameplay is average to good and controls are NEW, different and surprisingly GOOD. IMO.
So don't let this game slide if you were exited about it, because I was exited about it and I'm enjoying it bit by bit.
F*ck reviews and review the game by yourself if you really want it..
pardon my english
ADD ME: whoooop6
I like your honest input on Lair but you should put that in your N4G blog instead.
Warhawk is fu(king amazing and most PS3 owners who are hardcore gamers should experience it. Once you start playing make sure you study the maps very carefully or your team is screwed.
I don't mean so far. I honestly don't believe I'll enjoy any other game even half as much as I'm loving WH.
Heck, it's already making me put off HS and Lair purchases >_<
BTW, I need a WH expert to explain how to get points in Zones.
There are the "flag nodes" as i like to call them and you get points for every level you expand or calapse and in turn expand that area. I recommend after expanding to level 2 or the second ring running around that second ring so you don't die as easily until you expand it to the third ring. Oh and you get points for killing people too.
If you need anymore help my PSN is DarkArcani.
the maps are so big that you can play it at your own pace
you can jump in a jeep or warhawk and be in the action in seconds or you can find a lonely road and set up a ambush and wait around for some action or find a hill for some long distance sniping
10/10 the best online game ive ever played
love it
Cause in COD3 you can
fly planes
drive tanks and jeeps
man turrets
capture zones
get blown 800 ft. in the air
stab someone in the back or front with a knife
totally own a tank with a flamethrower
throw a mine on a jeep as its driving by to blow his posse away(i've only done that once)
take out 3 tanks with binoculars as they are trying to take your flag
have epic dog fights
oh... and they have certain servers that have a variety of games as a setting so your not constantly playing CTF or deathmatch on one server.
Yeah you are right... not enough variety like COD3 has.
I have not had this much fun with an online game since Unreal. 2004
you can kill 3-4 hours easy playing Warhawk, it is that immersive.
Great allround game only gonna get better with the downloadable extra's
I have never played online games before but this one rules them all!! WARHAWK KICKS ASS!! PSN AKIRA2107
everytime I play Warhawk it is for at least 3 hours. They did every thing right to keep you pulled in wanting to play. I have way more fun playing Warhawk than I did playing Halo 3 Beta.
Warhawk is simply the best online shooter for PS3,
there are so many things happened at the same time, thats real WAR!!!
love it!!!
For sure,you can't run away from my Sniper Rifle...Maybe in a Warhawk,lol...
Add Me:PSN=KastorTroy1
