kinect are majority "in-rails" compared to move's diversity.

big_silky2873d ago

on rails like the shoot and time crisis?

the launch titles on both stink and are pretty much shovelware. period.

nix2873d ago (Edited 2873d ago )

mag, killzone 3, socom, resident evil 5, heavy rain etc etc *yawn*

While the kinect launch games are nothing spectacular. They are original games. Meaning they werent existing games given a patch job to support the unit.

In fact, I dont know if they will be able to do that. It is easier to patch a ps3 game for move but I dont know about kinect. It may have to rely on originality.

These are Move playable games TODAY at launch!

Heavy Rain for instance seems much more immersive with Move to me. I don't have Resident Evil 5 but a friend did, brought it over and we patched it to play with my Move set - after getting used to the control scheme it was great! A Motion Based FPS - TODAY on Move...not 6 months into some Kinect nirvana I've been promised will be here some day.

Is what you're really saying is you have to dismiss all the Move-Enabled existing games because there ARE NONE for Kinect?

There's a couple games I would have liked to see adapted for Kinect, but guess what...NONE...not one.

Sony on the other hand took care of their long-time customers by patching games you had already bought, for FREE.

Why does this in fact piss me off?
Because it reminds me that I'm getting tired of Microsoft Sh*tting on me as a gamer by treating me like Apple...
(What? Upgrade what you already bought last month? F*ck You!)

Claiming patched games don't count is pathetic whining at it's best. We don't get a damn patched game out of Microsoft, so you dismiss the ones I did get from Sony?

Sounds like the same logic that made 'Power of Green' such a moron to me.

FAIR rules (not your rules) . . . 2 motion control systems, ALL motion control games count -- Not just the one's you appoint yourself to pick and choose worthy enough to be counted.

iamnsuperman2873d ago

Both launch titles suck. But I still got move not for its launch titles but for RUSE and I haven't looked back.

Neckbear2873d ago

No reason to buy these overpriced pieces of hardware.

dale12873d ago (Edited 2873d ago )

mag, killzone 3,socom,resi,etc etc are on rails games, thats just silly a bit like this article, move wins downs down, kineckt is milo wi style game play period.

darthv722873d ago

for a launch comparison, existing games shouldnt count. Patching a controller game for move support doesnt automatically make it a "move" game.

These comparisons should be on originality but we know that wont happen.

Biggest2873d ago

Of course! How do you make sure everything looks equal? Remove all of the advantages. Please ignore the types of games, functionality, and price. Just look at the dumb stuff.

Original vs Patched - That is TOTAL BS

Kinect game are very good. They provide fun and unique gameplay. If you don't like fun casual games that is fine. But Kinect games do not suck.

Biggest2873d ago

I won't say they suck. I will say that they aren't unique. Looking past the fact that all of those games have been done using the Eye Toy/PSEye, even within the same Kinect disk you will find repeating games with different skins. What's different about the rafting game and the rail game on Kinect Adventures? What different about those two games and the Sonic game? I'm not calling any of them bad games. I'm sure they're good for quick fun because those types of games are quick fun on the Eye Toy/PSEye as well. But nothing about them is unique. Not one thing.
