With gamers skint, broke and short on money, deals on new games can be a life saver. As can trading in games. These all help us save money – easy peasy right? Sure this is true, but today I’m going to pose a question to you.
yes, why do we buy them new? well, it's to support the "needy" publisher because they are being affected by other games like Call of Duty, Halo, Grand Theft Auto, and so on. If it's well within the first 10 weeks then I guess is ok to purchase the game after Christmas, which is something I should do. The only problem with that is that you may well have forgotten about the game when another great game has been announced, which puts you on saving mode again (not really a bad thing, but most humans tend to loose interest towards a game that's been out for a couple of months). I should only buy preowned games when stores no longer carry "new copies" or simply buy the game from a seller at craiglist. Why is Craiglist better than gamestop? They are usually cheaper and money goes directly into the seller's pocket and I am simply becoming the new owner of the game, so it's a win/win for both sellers and buyers.
Plus Gamestop rips you off when buying the game from you and then charging $5 less than the price of a new game I like buying used games because some games are not even worth the full retail value and sometimes I can even get a new game for way cheaper than what if would normally cost me. Games are getting overpriced now days and its hard to get all the games you want without giving an arm and a leg for em
