The guys at DailyJoypad compare the services offered by movie streaming services, LOVEFiLM and Sky Player which raises some interesting points.
Sky player wins the ease of use round? The PS3 app for lovefilm isn’t even out so how can that even be a separate round? EDIT: and while i'm thinking about it, shouldn't we wait until the PS3 app is released before we also compared Quality, seeing that's this flamebait comparision is actually just a PS3 v's xbox article.
it's out now
Is it? Nice. thanks, will check it out. Apologies to the writer.
For me its skyplayer
They offer different services :s This is like comparing uncharted to gt5, sure you can compare the graphics(vid quality) but thats about it
this article is bull shit how can u compare these two there total difftrent u moran

I am really interested in one called Mubi though since theres a lot of old films on it
Sky Player is awesome on my Xbox, soooo much better than on PC or labtop looking forward to Lovefilm on PS3 but there willl be fee's invloved im sure
Yeah but only the one for lovefilm
i used to have sky but i quit my subscription because they kept repeating movies. love film app is awesome there are hundreds of movies on there to watch plus if i can't find one i want i can order the disc to be delivered to my door from my ps3. £10 a month is a great price for unlimited movie streams plus home deliveries as well.
this guy knows the score.
It's only £10 a month for unlimited streaming. Might have to look into it
I thought you needed to be a sky subscriber and gold member to use sky player? Plus getting both skys adverts and microsofts. Love film is £5.99 a month and no PSN charge or adverts.
yes you need gold and sky subscription..but I had both of those for years anyway, so this was always a fantastic bonus its like having 2 connections for the price of one of course if you dont have the above it would feel a bit much I guess
Just signed up for the 30 day free trial through my ps3. App is a bit slow but finding a film is pretty painless. I also have Sky player on my xbox. Its fast and really easy to use but its lacking content. Stupid comparison though. Comparing a movie rental service to a 'watch again' service....
I've been using Sky Player for a while now and love it. It's also been upgraded a few times. LoveFilm came out yesterday so it's a bit unfair to compare the two. I don't think it's fair to consider the cost of the TV license because it's basically a stealth tax. Give LoveFilm time and I'm sure they will improve it. My only issue is that unlike Sky Player, it doesn't appear to allow you to use the media remote.
