Splinter Cell Conviction - First look

Conviction starts off with the Third Echelon in disarray and Sam Fisher on the run, on his own looking for answers and us players also looking for answers after the non conclusive ending in Double Agent.

Pre-release pictures from Splinter Cell Conviction straight away shout out huge changes; as you can tell that shadows don't play such a large part in the gameplay, or that shadows are a strategy at all? Instead of shadows it has been said that a 'crowd system' similar to Assassins Creed's (as they are being developed together), would be used to the players advantage.

Hey, he is back (From the dead?). I mean, Sam Fisher and SC:C became invisible afte Ubi days before E3 and now this is the first showing I think.

old screenshots

Way to milk to death a Series mind.

mighty_douche4071d ago

this game look absolutely no where near as good as MGS... still might pick it up if it turns out to be good!

rev204071d ago

bit unfair, splinter cell is not in the same league as metal gear solid more of a poor man's version the games shouldnt be compared at all ;)

What's sweet about the SC series is that you do not have 8 hours of boring cut scenes that always bring a game to a screeching halt.

ShiftyLookingCow4071d ago

cut the cr*p already, Splinter Cell and MGS are very different. They are in the stealth genre and the similarities end there.

kcdude4071d ago

I have respect for both series. Metal Gear, and Splinter Cell are two of the only, and best stealth games of all time. They are each different and unique in their own way.
