The guy who started building the working CPU in Minecraft has finished his work succesfully.
Two Standing Ovations for this man.
bastard germans http://www.youtube.com/watc... and yeah cant wait to see it up and running
This was very impressive but..... But can it run Crysis?
this dude is the king of win
Wait wait wait...What is this exactly? A CPU in a game? What can it do?
I assume he'll build a motherboard, a GPU, a keyboard/mouse, a monitor, an electric power plant that sends power to the computer, and then maybe, if he's lucky, one day he'll be able to play Minecraft... inside Minecraft.
only to create another CPU within a CPU http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Here is the video. For people who don't want to wait for google translator crap..
o.o son of a *explodes*
lol to me its not a CPU the mind says it is. To me its just blocks of dirt/grass theres nothing functional on it If it was powering a monitor or something then it would make more sense.
An abacus is a computer.
=O so i can put a better graphics card in Minecraft than what I have in real life. and Run minecraft IN minecraft better....this needs a Xzibit meme...
Yo dawg, I heard you like minecraft so we put a cpu in minecraft that can play minecraft so you can craft while you craft.... lol
Someone explain this to me @ 3 @...
wow. completely useless. why was this so important/impressive?
He build a CPU inside of a game, how is that not impressive or do you not understand whats impressive about it?
didnt someone make something similar in LBP ????
Not even close.
It wasn't as complicated but it was a similar idea. It was a calculator that can add and subtract 1-9. In theory you could do this in LBP but I don't think there's enough memory for something with this many different parts.
It's a case where you either have the mentality to be able comprehend what he created and appreciate it, or you don't. Similar to an non-art enthusiast who doesn't get why a Picasso painting is valued so high by art collectors/enthusiast.
he SHAPED it its not like he made a workable cpu inside of minecraft using dirt. Still its impressive, because of the time he probably spent to make it, and his deep knowledge on the cpu.
No, it's an actual CPU. It can perform calculations and other basic mathematical functions, just very, very slowly.
I think he said it was a 16 bit CPU in a previous video.
I think it's meant to have the necessary logic circuits to perform simple calculations. Can't wait to see his next video.
Since I've never played Minecraft, what the hell am I supposed to be seeing in this video? Where's the CPU?
You're looking at it. It's a microprocessor, just on a city-sized scale.
Reminds me of the guy that made the functional 8-bit calculator in Little Big Planet. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
after someone explains to me what I'm looking at. Like someone said, all I see is dirt; I'm not saying that it's not impressive, but I can't tell. Am I looking at transistors? Am I looking at prebuilt logic gates? I have no idea. I'm sure it IS impressive, but I can't even hear what he's saying as he walks around. Did I see a pink goat @ 31 seconds?
Must be a b---h to program games for that thing.
