Activision boss Bobby Kotick has claimed that Call Of Duty: Black Ops is a "tribute to the courage, dedication and sacrifice" of the real-life military.
Have you ever wised someone's tongue would fall out.
L-O-L smiley face
I just did a smelly fart that I would like to tribute to Bobby Kotick.
God I hate this man...scummy little asshole!
In a way you desensitize war for the young generation into an arcade game. There are no respawns after death. F*ck You Kotick.
I'm a veteran here and I think he can shove his BS tribute up his A$$. That thing is no way a tribute to my military. Sorry sack of crap trying to suck up to the military after the MOH fiasco with EA. I'd like to drop him on the front lines and see how is sorry a$$ would do.
Yes he is sucking up, as its his Job to get people to buy his companys games. And WTH why would you want to drop him in the frontlines hes done absolutley nothing wrong. And this goes for the rest of you "CORE" gamers his job is not to be your friend, it is to manage a very large very successful company and keep it makeing money, and he does, and weather you like activision games or not is a non issue. I am sick off all of you people circle jerking in your ignorance you ruin the credibility gamers have when voicing an opinion. Thank you.
and what are you? his wife?
have you heard of an ad hominem
Yeah because our military is all about allowing soldiers to camp in a corner waiting for the enemies to go by. /s Great tribute...
1. It's a game. 2. Many soldiers play this game overseas and they love it. Tribute (noun) - a gift, testimonial, compliment, or the like, given as due or in acknowledgment of gratitude or esteem.
Its funny how you confuse Bobby Kotick's need for self promotion and greed with an attempt to make a tribute to our military.
more like "exploision" FU Bobby Kon-dick
Hate when some 12 years old kid spamming some armament videos in Youtube with taking references from COD... :/
A tribute you say hmmm
why do terrorists attack good people when there are people like kotick around?
I don't think there is a more evil photo of Kotick than that one right there.
He will say anyhting to look like a good public figure.
Well it is kinda true..
GTFO Edit: @bottom (4.1.1). You'll find out when you get older bro.
How is it not a tribute? Edit: I haven't seen anything in a COD game that says something bad about our military.
It's just a game that happens to be a military shooter. In no way does this make this a tribute anymore than EA making NFL games make that a tribute to Football. He is just a good PR guy who tries to fame the game amongst soldiers.
so that "Assault on Devil's island" movie with Hulk Hogan Carl Weathers , and Chuck Norris' "Delta Force" are tribute to military too ? Let's get real for a second , it's an hollywood styled and themed military game , nothing that profound or deep about it
I wish this guy just disappeared.
No, it isn't. Not at all. And it's nothing like the military. MW2 was more James Bond than military. Kotick only sees $$$$ regardless of what he says.
Oh so im guessing there are things in the game that show as our military being bad..
You are coming across as being very immature.
Isn't that sweet. Bobby Kotick sure does love the military. What a guy. /sarcasm off
That's a bit of a lie really, isn't it?
If the emotional tribute to the troops is as rich as he is from this series, I'll be the happiest bastard ever. You know, after I take his money and erase the CoD series from everyone's mind with a HUMONGOUS version of that flashing thing from Men in Black.
Kotick is a 'tribute' to Scrooge.
Scrooge more like Satan. I'm sure he sold his soul to the Devil... This is one of the biggest douchebags in the industry.
I agree Mr Grady. "Infinity Ward wants their royalties for Modern Warfare 2, Bah humbug. Tell Cratchit to have a drawing of a middle finger on West and Zampella's desks by close of business today or he'll be out on his ears. Bah humbug indeed."
lol. awesome. A tribute to military? how? by making a game that's not in anyway realistic? Haha knifing someone who has an ak-47? ya ok.
If you wanna be a good public figure how bout donating half the money you made off mw2 and donating it to the military.
Every time i poo is a tribute for you Kotick
such a blatant lie COD is just unreal tournament reskinned. tribute to military? ITS AN INSULT TO THE MILITARY
Please explain to me how it's an insult.
That guys need to wipe off that brown shit off the end of his nose.
You mean the terrorist who shoot civilians just for fun? Or the ones who torture innocent defenseless people in illegal secret prisons?
military It's a tribute to his pockets, because they are deep. He also has to hire a truck to carry his wallet. Seriously sell your game, but don't spout BS.
this guy is the biggest DICK in the gaming world & I personally think it's a insult 2 the real men & women of the military, cod is fun ( when it works ) but it doesn't even come close 2 be realistic and should not be considered as a tribute it's pathetic . I got a btr idea lets make it a tribute 2 all the 11 year old kids that have made the cod franchise wot it is 2day . in my eye he's the new pied piper
Kotick: Call Of Duty is a 'tribute' to money
It's good to see ps3 and 360 warriors unified to fight the greedy activision boy. "tribute to military" : my god, only fox news fans can appreciate that kind of thing.
Tribute to the military when you show that the United States is the really the evil country in MW2. yea please don't try to use this game as a representation of our country and our military.
We in the military might love to play your games, but we do not support your greedy ways Mr. Kotick.
with people like this i can feel the tribute already
a generic FPS really?
the military is just unneccessary for any country and games like this while i do enjoy them glamorize the army. The reality that most people dont see is that these soldiers are sadistic mosnters working with firearms to impose their ideals onto others and steal resources while their at it. Look back throughout history many nations are poorer because of this snatch and grab attitude(Haiti had to pay billions to France for their independence, Africa has their national identity stolen from them as countless countries ie usa europe etc went out their to land grab steal slaves etc the list is literally infinite) We need a universal disarmament. http://www.guardian.co.uk/w... tons of articles more if you search
BeelzeBobby doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. A tribute? It's a tribute to Kotick's business sense in that milking a franchise and making unbalanced bullshit that anyone with a grenade launcher can prestige, not to mention all the money he has made for himself off the backs of Treyarch, Infinity Ward, and West and Zampella. The fact that it's a military shooter is incidental.
"Maybe that's(COD is a tribute blah blah) why our soldiers, our sailors, our air men and women and marines stationed in all the dangerous places abroad as well as those members of the military at home have embraced it as the number one video game that they play." no my friend, the truth is far more depressing and disturbing.
My fellow Sony gamers, though I applaud Activision's Call of Duty Endowment, I still somewhat find hard to believe that Call of Duty, by itself, is a "tribute to the military" just because it is enjoyed by my fellow brothers and sisters in arms. You simply cannot make a "shooter" and say "it's a tribute to the military". The recent Medal of Honor was a genuine, sincere tribute to our military because it shows. Call of Duty, on the other hand, is just that...a military themed shooter purely for the entertainment of others. I'll admit that it's pretty hard to explain the difference between MOH and COD when it comes to this situation to a civilian who has never served in the military. A rough analogy would be explaining to a non-gamer why the Sony gamers despise the 360 ding-dongs. The Sony gamers, known for being classy, mature, and intelligent, can easily distinguish what is a real tribute or just a money making machine for a company that also mercilessly (along with MS) exploit the low intelligence level of the 360 ding-dongs. Sony Gamers Lead the Way!
Yeah its a great tribute to the military forces killing all those innocent Afghans and Iraqis in an illegal war
Actually it's business.... isn't EA's Medal of Honor the tribute to the recent conflicts going on.... COD was never considered this until after the fact!
Satan has NOTHING on this guy. He is EVIL! I'm gonna go hide under my duvet until he goes away.
Later Mr. Kotick had this to say when questioned about his statement, "Er, did I say the military? I meant my wallet. Call of Duty is a tribute to my wallet."
COD franchise = http://img.photobucket.com/... PS.Eat sh!t and die Kotick
Can you give us a tribute to Innocent Iraqis who get killed every day???
More like a mockery of the military.
That guy is so full of shit
