Goldeneye 007 outselling Modern Warfare 2 on Wii

Nintendo Universe writes:

It would seem that the re-imaging of Goldeneye 007 is far more tempting a purchase to Wii owners than that of last year's blockbuster title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, according to comments from Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg.

Just to state there is a typo in the title, we are indeed referring to Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition on Wii!

PS3owns360_2783d ago

It was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition.

Smacktard2783d ago

Sorry, but that was actually a port of Modern Warfare (1)

matey2782d ago

it means MW2 and reflex its outselling them MW reflex is MW2 on wii he means both

RedDead2782d ago

Cod 4 MW Reflex was a MW1 port that came out around the same time as MW2

morganfell2782d ago

No matey, that isn't what it means. the article states, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex Edition". That's the COD4 port to the Wii.

Then the exact quote from Hirshberg is, "“This title has only been out for a few days, but it’s already out selling last year’s Modern Warfare as Wii SKU for the comparable period.”"

Note where it says "Wii SKU". That means the Reflex Edition.

Not sure why you are going through this thread like an apologist.

a new game outsells a 2 year old port? Who would have

SyphonFilter2782d ago

A new game doesn't automatically outsell an old game. Many new games haven't sell as much as the 2 year old smash bros brawl.

Seferoth752781d ago

no kid, you failed to comprehend what I was actually saying.

A game that is an exclusive gets released, of course it will sale more than a port of a game that came out 2 years before on every other console.

When was smash brothers a 2 year old late port on the Wii?

matey2783d ago

in the full interview they say MW2

I've been enjoying the title. More sales mean more people to play with online so, always a plus.
