Hands-On with Kinect - The First Few Hours | High-Def Digest

Dick Ward writes: "So, I’ve spent some time with Microsoft’s Kinect. I played with the bundled games and demos, controlled ESPN with my hand, and even set up the device to recognize my face. How does it work? " (Dance Central, Kinect, Kinect Adventures, Kinect JoyRide, Microsoft, Xbox 360) -

Jesus Christ if you aren't into Kinect don't stalk N4G for articles on it.

I had the same experiences. I didn't enjoy Joy Ride that much but Dance Central is definately a buy for me after enjoying the demo and being impressed with the accuracy on it.
Seems like Kinect is only as good as its game developers and I hope they get the right people to make their games.
But navigation and voice command with movies, ESPN, etc is great. Voice commands are very responsive to me

I was really surprised how well voice recognition worked after a lot of disappointing experiences with it in the past. Now all it needs is Netflix capabilities and we're good to go!

They obviously haven't seen the Eye toy.The hand-eye recognition is nothing new,and Sony can very well allow voice commands and hand gestures for the PS3 eye toy through an update.

Updates...
Playing catchup this gen with updates has had some success. But it would be better if they didn't remove features in the process.
