ElectricPig: Microsoft Kinect Review

Microsoft Kinect makes your Xbox 360 into something else entirely. No longer is it the clumpy, whirring console exclusively for gamers willing to put up with endless red rings of death. Instead, it becomes the essential console for family gaming, making everything the Wii offers look, well, four years old. And it’s a software update’s throw from making the Xbox 360 the essential set top box, full stop. (Kinect, Xbox 360) 5/5

I'm honestly surprised by that score. I knew Kinect wouldn't be a failure, but I didn't think anyone would actually score it perfect.
gigaware  +   1706d ago
That is going to depend on the media that are not set in their ways tlaking about what gaming is suppose to look and feel like. Took years for the Wii to earn some respect. Some media will score for what it is and not what it's not.

'Perfect Review' acheivement unlocked..
And they thought the post review embargo was going to kill Kinect..

It's actually way better than I thought..

Although I'm sure sites like Desructoid and Giant Bomb are going to kill it

Seriously Perfect???
what about latency issues??

glitch issues??

inaccuracy issues??

how come they get mentioned in other review while this one dont?
insomnium  +   1706d ago
Don't bother gaminggamer. Just don't. 500 million will brake your sanity.

Evildead360 rejoicing Kinect and you were one of those people who laughed at PS3 for not having any games a few years back I could swear. Have you turned into casual or are you just enjoying the success of MS? HC-gamer you are not.

"I didn't think anyone would actually score it perfect"

A no-name site hungry for ad space income would.
PeeWizzle  +   1706d ago
Lol, and they're going to get ad space by giving Kinect a perfect score? Besides some others who randomly stumble upon electricpig, we're the only ones going to see this review. And 75 percent of people on here don't even click the link to the site. This review ain't doing nothing for electricpigs adspace.

So apparently:
"Kinectimals is utterly adorable, Kinect Sports is even funnier than Wii Sports"..

I am looking forward to Dance Central..
but only to goto Best buy and play the demo stage..
if it's as good as they say.. i'll come again ;)

Otherwise, I'm not much of a lone dancer..
I mean where's the fun in that?

kinect will change gaming forever...
Controllers are no longer heavy.

badz149  +   1706d ago
try holding up both of your hands to the side and stays like that for an hour! I think THAT might change your opinion about which one is heavier! personally I can hold my controller and play games for hours and don't feel heavy but holding my hands like that? not gonna last me more than 5 mins before it gets 'heavy'!
cmrbe  +   1706d ago
notice the appearance of sites we never knew existed that are in favour of Kinetic. Electric Pig??? LMAO!!

Lets just look at the traditional ones like IGN,Gamespot,G.I,1UP etc
Orionsangel  +   1706d ago
Where are the bad reviews? This motion crap has to flop! The future of gaming depends on it! The gaming industry is going to become a family friendly motion control industry and you guys are letting it happen. Don't buy this shit! You're playing into their hands. They just wanna get rich off this shit. There's no passion behind it. It's shallow! What the fuck is going on? It's like the fucking Twilight Zone!

kasasensei  +   1706d ago
They give a perfect but they admit it's nothing like move precision and its 1:1 motion detection... So where is the 6/5 review for move? http://www.electricpig.co.u... not here...
There is no logic here...
