... poor greggy got called all kinds of names for those codes ... lol ... see the name calling here: http://people.ign.com/gregg... but yes KZ3 is shaping up to be anything but spectacular
I wish I could've gotten into the beta. like they said in the video, Sony could've charged for it but I think that would make it way overcrowded.
Who cares about it being overcrowded. It would have helped stress the servers even more and probably find even more bugs/glitches. It really would have been nice to give everyone with a PS+ year subscription an invite to KZ3 beta. Many people actually did buy a PS+ just hoping to get into KZ3 beta. So basically Sony, in a way, charged for it.
My PSN+ subscription ended after the 3 months and I had to get another 3 month sub just to download the beta theme and it was worth it because I am in the KZ3 beta! Just had to pay 17.99 and I get PSN+ content for the next 3 months too. WORTH IT!
someone else said that over at IGN - it's true in a way
"KZ3 is shaping up to be anything but spectacular" I think you screwed up that sentence...not that I'm trying to tell you what to think or anything.
just played the beta and the controls are still waay off for me.
"still waay off" means one thing: they were off BEFORE, ie, KZ2. I can safely say: Go and buy Black Ops and forget about KZ3. Not to be harsh or anything, but KZ3 wont be the game for you. Controls are much tighter and faster than before, IMO GG found a good spot. Most beta testers are enjoying the new controls. I'm enjoying it too. They have the right amount of weight and are slow enough to allow for a tactical approach. Dont want them any faster.
epic can't wait
2011,s best FPS right there,...damn it it may be the best shooter ever.
More like best and coolest fps of all time. Oh and dont forget, its in 3-D. I would be lying if I said I was getting a 3-D tv just for this game, but actually im getting a 3-D tv for GT5 first. BTW, F you Greggy for throwing stuff in our faces.
All we can ask for now is Uncharted 3D... Lol and people said 3D wouldn't kick off until the next gen... Show me another racer or shooter that looks as good as GT5 and KZ3 on another console that is even in 2D.
Still waiting for them to send me my beta code! but i think i should just accept i didnt get in XD
when GG will axe the beta ... so there may be time for you still
I'm in the KZ3 Beta, the game is awesome and improved from KZ2.
I'm gonna try to get a 3DTV before KZ3 comes out.
GG has a big hit in the making. KZ2 was surrounded by an incredible negativity and controversy before and post launch. The control feeling and steep learning curve put most KZ2 buyers off. KZ3 on the other hand is receiving so much praise from all angles. Both press and beta testers.
Unfortunately I couldn't get in the KZ3 beta but I never found anything wrong with the KZ2 controls. The only thing needed to be addressed was some input lag.
I know. Beyond the lag issue, control weighty feel was too much for many gamers used to a much faster gameplay, but at the same time it defined the game for the people that mastered the feeling and its tactical/slow approach. In my humble opinion KZ3 is reaching a very nice middle ground.
I love KZ2 a lot and it was my first shooter on the PS3 so I didn't have anything to compare it too BUT... How do slow controls make it more tactical? All it means is if someone is waiting on the side of a door and you walk out you wont be able to turn and shoot them before they've killed you. It doesn't add anything to tactics. Things that make KZ2 tactical are things like the special abilities and the chaning objectives the controls are not the reason why the game requires more tactics than a game like MW2.
This game looks awesome.
it looks like IGN got KILLZON3D
I see wah you did thar! Unite and bubble up the pope!
signed in to say: OMG :O /that is all
This beta is a blast. I hope to see some of you guys there.
Sounds like someone liked it. Cant blame him, I've only had a chance to play for a few hours (friends) at it's outstanding! My only complaint with the original was the gameplay, I dealt with it, but never really liked it, this one maintains the KZ feel, but it's just a pleasure to play.
I really like the guy commenting in the video. He is really enthusiastic.
I'm not a big fan of shooters, but this is looking serious.
Everything ive tried in the beta so far i like. The revised controls are a massive improvement theres two settings first one resembles Halo tbh click the stick to zoom etc. Second control set feels like cod zoom, fire on L1 R1. Dosent stop there though the revised sensitivity on the turn speed is so much better. Again along the later exsamples but it does still manage to feel like killzone. I think the game runs 30fps. I cant see crysis 2 bettering this halo and cod run on far lesser game engines. Balance is the name of the game for me and this game feels great. Also good botzone for practice is a bonus in the beta im a fan of the jetpacks, but not so much the mechs. Map size and layout are great tbh if the released it like this id buy it. For me i think its heading towards being a classic.
Looks awesome....I didn't play KZ2 but I'm way interested in this one....If I didn't have Black Ops, Medal of Honor, Bad Company 2 and Reach to play (among Starcraft 2 as well) I would pick up KZ2....just not enough time lol Maybe in january
Looks fucking fantastic. So much so, that anyone who denied it would look like an utter fool for doing so.
Seriously though, if anyone has any spare beta codes, please hand them out, but make sure i get one first:)
customisation of the controls so that anyone can tweak it to their liking so that everyone can shut up about it.
