New Chinese gaming console showcases Wii and Xbox 360 similarities

China Telecom has shown its version of the Nintendo Wii called "Tigan Youxi" ("Somatic Gaming"), an add-on for the Internet Protocol television. Also revealed is its monthly subscription of about $4 a month.

The story is too old to be commented.

haven't heard much about this consul, i would like to know more about it.

edit:
heres what i got.

since china blocked the Wii and the Xbox 360, china has come up with a couple knockoffs, like this one.

basically its a plug and play system which offers motion games.

it's also not a stand alone product, it is an add-on to the IPTV services, the service will only be in china. they also keep on saying "it wont compete with the other systems" (yeah I'm guessing because there all band)

not a lot of details were given for this system.

China business - "copy paste products with crappy quality at low price for many people to buy"

After many years since globalization started this still works and China is getting bigger every day by sticking to this fashion alone.

QUOTE from article: "In China, video game consoles are largely banned, save for plug'n play type devices." - And they sell their own rip-offs to their ppl to buy it instead...those dictators are really some dirty bastards! no sportsmanship at all.
