China Telecom has shown its version of the Nintendo Wii called "Tigan Youxi" ("Somatic Gaming"), an add-on for the Internet Protocol television. Also revealed is its monthly subscription of about $4 a month.
another chinese copy cat?
haven't heard much about this consul, i would like to know more about it. edit: heres what i got. since china blocked the Wii and the Xbox 360, china has come up with a couple knockoffs, like this one. basically its a plug and play system which offers motion games. it's also not a stand alone product, it is an add-on to the IPTV services, the service will only be in china. they also keep on saying "it wont compete with the other systems" (yeah I'm guessing because there all band) not a lot of details were given for this system.
ahh China and their knock-offs. I still remember a super nintendo, N64, and Sega Genesis knock offs.
lols ping pong
China business - "copy paste products with crappy quality at low price for many people to buy" After many years since globalization started this still works and China is getting bigger every day by sticking to this fashion alone. QUOTE from article: "In China, video game consoles are largely banned, save for plug'n play type devices." - And they sell their own rip-offs to their ppl to buy it instead...those dictators are really some dirty bastards! no sportsmanship at all.
get into the console market. It should be fun with different devs and type of game and whatnot.
They end up in my city,Los Angeles, within a week.I recall seeing clones of the Sega Genesis in a downtown swap meet. All made in China,India etc.
Too funny. :)
dont judge copycat before learning the tools. this actually arrived before kinect, move. i met the dev at gdc 2009, they are a small company. they introduce the dual camera and wii like controller which i think is more accurate than move (in the presentation they showed, i havent tried it first hand). they curretnly looking for huge companies to publish their tech but i think no luck since in a few moment ms introduce kinect and sony send move. but at that time, i really thought its gonna be the next big thing. beside, how can they copy something hasnt launched before :-s
