Last year’s entry into THQ’s Smackdown vs Raw franchise was seen as something of a rejuvenation and was overall celebrated by gamers and critics alike. The question is, can Smackdown vs Raw 2011 build upon the foundations its predecessor lay, or will it pile driver itself into mediocrity?
Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 comes offering a roster boasting a collection of over 70 superstars, legends, and divas, along with a collection of game modes and match types. The familiar match types make a return with some of them being slightly altered to match their real world counter parts, a key example of this being the Hell in a Cell match type which now allows players the crash their opponents through the cage to gain access to the top. For most part the match types haven’t been drastically altered but the changes will be noticeable to veterans of the franchise.
