"Every few years the World Rally Championship goes through a bit of a mix-up. In the mid 80’s the cars were getting too fast and dangerous, and the regulating body decided that some new classes need to be introduced. The manufacturers quickly picked up sneaky ways to squeeze insane power from the engines and again in the mid 90’s the powers that be decided enough is enough end more rules and class changes took place. Now on the brink of the new 2011 season we will yet again see more rule changes that will make the cars lighter, the engines smaller, and no more turbos. This means no more big Subaru’s and Mitsubishi’s. Some say the WRC is dead."
