Back to the Future dated as 360 version fails to materialise

M2G Writes:

Telltale Games has dated the PC and Mac version of Back to the Future for December, while saying the PS3 and Apple versions will follow at a later date.

Those among you will notice that we haven’t mentioned the Xbox 360 version, the reason for this is that there doesn’t seem to be one.

XBLA size restriction?

I can't think of any other reason for it not being on 360 unless it's just not confirmed yet.

TroyAndAbed2972d ago

Makes sense.

I'm glad a legitimately coherent person got to this article before the trolls. Thanks, Thom!

Blacktric2972d ago

Good thinking. They seriously need to either raise that restriction limit or just completely get rid of it. Or at least, they should remove the restriction for some major releases like this.

Bzone242972d ago

It's a 2gb limit so that's probably not the reason for a episodic game.

Cheeseknight282972d ago

Sam and Max & Tales of Monkey Island were both distributed through PC, Mac, [email protected], and PS3. With the sole exception of Wallace and Gromit, Telltale hasn't ventured into XBLA.

Why would this be any different?

Max and Max season 1 and 2 were released on XBLA. But they were released after the season was finished. Also they were published by Microsoft.

It's simple. Teh Cell has the power to emulate the function of the flux capacitor. The 360 can't.

alphakennybody2972d ago

probably, as the cell still has many mysteries that needs to be unlocked.

on a serious note: it's probably as pirate thom says though.

SpitFireAce852972d ago

bubbles for that "emulate the function of the
flux capacitor"...LOL

cliffyboy212972d ago (Edited 2972d ago )

the 360 doesn't generate 1.21 jigawatts of power to get the 360 to turn on and it needs that kind of power to get the game to finish so it can't be done on the 360, it can't!

Sony owns the rights in some way. Maybe Apple too.

Lucreto2972d ago

There are two reasons why itis not on the 360.

1.It was that PirateThom said XBLA size restrictions.

2. MS requires a third party publisher if the game is on other platforms. So it has to be exclusive on the 360 for a time it they wanted it on the 360. But Telltale publish it themselves.
