WhatIfGaming: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II Review – A Sequel No More

WhatIfGaming: "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II makes a force-shocking return in its second iteration from LucasArts. The action is intense and the cutscenes are wildly vivid, but the entire title as a whole seems to be too reminiscent of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The premiere title suffered from terrible and repetitive hack and slash gameplay, while the storyline though complete made Star Wars fans cringe at the turn that the canon had taken to join the gaps between the first three episodes of the title."

Looks from the general tone of the review, they aren't impressed.

Did anyone else here not enjoy the first one? I read that it was a solid game and pretty fun. I tried it last week and I just can't get into it at all, I'm not having any fun at all. I might try this one down the road.

Mate I loved the first and loved the demo of this, I will be buying the CE day one, no matter the reviews.

Hell yeah I loved the first one, and I got the second one paid off and waiting. Can't wait for it to come out....only 3 more minutes.

I agree with you, I wanted to play this and the first for the story. i like the Star wars storyline. But, like you, I couldnt get into the controls. Something just threw me off quickly.

Was hoping itd be different for the second.

On gugur3d there is a thread titled:

"Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 (Everything is blurry as hell and locked at 30fps) "

MLAA fail.

archemides5182976d ago (Edited 2976d ago )

they are using an experimental frame interpolation, has nothing to do with MLAA, which (if u had the killzone 3 beta u would know) rulz

or look at god of war 3 i guess since ur bored

Nihilism2976d ago

MLAA is a post processing effect that blurs the image, you might not be able to realise since a lot of console games don't use 16AF, as well as the fact that will never be able to see how those games look without it on, but you can clearly see in those comparison shots that it effects the image. If what you say is true about the interpolation then that is just an additional failure, but MLAA definitely blurs the image.
