Gabe Newell: Orange Box Is Pretty Much Finished

Speaking to Game Informer Magazine, Valve's head honcho Gabe Newell has confirmed that The Orange Box is pretty much finished and is in its final phase (bug testing). The Orange Box is a big combo that will ship for the PC, Xbox 360 (and later on PS3) and includes Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2 plus the original Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One.

Newell also revealed during the interview that he hasn't changed his mind regarding the PlayStation 3. Readers of TeamXbox.com must remember that earlier this year, Newell called the PS3 "a total disaster."

yay cant wait! but i will be getting the ps3 version and if its a "complete disaster" will it just be a crap port

Maybe not a crap port, but in no means will it be any better than the others i bet! All you can do is hope its at least on a close par level.

Well,I would love some changes in the release date because this box packs ALLOT of longevity.

calls it a crap port but certainly dosent refuse the deal with them instead of making it exclusive to 360

Yeah! That's what I thought too! What's this guy's problem?

Anyway, I desperately hope we (PS3 owners) don't get another craptacular port. The Orange Box is in my top 5 purchase priorities and I'd really be pissed if it happened to be the case.

Well, it's not valve doing the port on ps3.They are only doing the 360 and pc versions. It is EA doing the ps3 port, milking the cash cow as ever.
