A.V. Club: Power Gig: Rise Of The SixString Review

A.V. Club: "As the average skill level of Rock Band and Guitar Hero players increases, so does the demand for finger-tapping challenges that go beyond the same five candy-colored fret buttons. Enter Power Gig: Rise Of The SixString, a game that corners the market on the technically real guitar-controller—at least until the release of Rock Band’s Fender Mustang. But while Power Gig is supposed to be the next step in rhythm gaming, it’s a baby step, as developer Seven45 Studios opted to keep the learning curve nice and gentle by excluding anything more complex than a power chord. The result is a game that’s less intimidating, but also less than essential."
