Critical Gamer writes: Nintendo is in the fortunate position of having a clearly established brand identity and a consumer base that includes almost every demographic you could name. Their name is synonymous with quality and accessibility. There is worldwide recognition, nostalgia and brand identification that few companies can rival. In fact the very omnipresent nature of Nintendo is part of what prevents it from being able to establish a sense strong community within its consumers.

I love Nintendo, but they need to embrace the online world a lot more. Trying to get hooked up with friends online on the Wii was a nightmare.

Agreed. We can't even tell if our friends are online or not unless we're in a game :<
