Longtime gamers will tell you that the word “free” normally doesn’t apply to Electronic Arts. The highly successful video game publisher made millions sticking it to consumers, especially with downloadable content. EA was one of the first companies that took advantage of micro transactions on Xbox Live, charging players for all sorts of items and services, such as strategies for sports games and access to all unlocked content. With this in mind, the fact that the powers that be chose to give away the first piece of Medal of Honor DLC was a bit of a shock, especially since it could have been sold at $4.99 and we still would have considered it a bargain.
