DTG: Review- Front Mission Evolved

Richard Birkett for Dedicated To Gamers reviews Double Helix Games and Square Enix's mech-shooter Front Mission Evolved. It has a number of comparisons to the Transformers license and DTG find there's much to like from the carnage-laden action. (Front Mission Evolved, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 3.5/5

If I had never played a Front Mission game, this game would look ok. But I really wish they'd made a turn-based Front Mission game with these nice graphics.

I guess so. Front Mission has always been a niche series and I've been a loyal fan, so in some way I do feel a bit left out that I'm not able to play a new turn-based FM game.

Turn-based
I can't comment on the turn-based aspect of previous games in the series since this is the first Front Mission Evolved I'd played. That said, the option to go more risk-free into the shooter market, I think, is justifiable and I still quite liked it.
