PAX 2007: Hands-On with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

With the exception of Beautiful Katamari, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is the one game at PAX that Gamers Today found the easiest to just pick up and play. No checking the Options menu for button layouts, no taking a few minutes just to learn the controls; it took me 30 seconds to figure out how to play the game. The game's controls are just that easy to use. And what a sweet game to control at that.

Can you name those 4 with an extensive list of reviews that gives an average of 90% or higher?

Resistance has something like 88%, Motorstorm like 84% or so. Games like Heavenly Sword, Lair and Warhawk are reviewed by trusted sites like IGN, EGM and Edge and are reviewed from 6 to 7 or so.

Which other games are there that are extensively reviewed and have an average of over 90%?

No exclusives on the PS3 that are AAA and the only one that is AAA is Oblivion.

Dude, AAA can only be given by average of all reviews. You give different sites. I bet the only one is Oblivion having an average review of all reviews together of over 90%.

BTW I see I indeed didn't mention it the first time that's why my comment was pretty darn close. But even with one real AAA like Oblivion... It's not much. In exclusive AAA's 'another' is certainly not right.

AAA on 360 are mostly exclusive, or at least console exclusive. Either way Vista/360 is MS exclusive.

Face it ign gave 4 ps3 games over 9.0, so did gamespot thats 2 reviewing sites that have ps3 at 4 AAA games.
What other sites gave means nothing since gamespot and ign are my only trusted sources:)

P.S: gamerankings says only oblivion is AAA....so your still wrong, you said ps3 had no AAA games when it has 1 via game rankings.

WRong, AAA status does not have to be given by an average of score. Because not all sites are reliable.

P.S:vista doesn't=360 so it being on 360 and vista means its not exclusive.

I'm sorry Resistance is alright, Motorstorm is fun for a bit, I don't like flying games so no Warhawk for me, Lair and HS I am not so sure on now because their reviews. Anyways TO ME Uncharted looks to be like it could be the first AAA Gears of War/Bioshock kind of greatness game for the PS3.

Console exclusive is exclusive. On PC its Windows. So any way you twist, its MS exclusive for sure. Consoles and PC is a different world. Only on 360, not on PS3 nor Wii. You only can play Gears a year after me, its old. Forza 2? Not on PC. Mass Effect? Not on PC. Halo 3? Not on PC. And if you get a Halo (like nr.2) it's 2 to 3 years later.

video, no debate. The graphics and overall style of the game adds a pretty unique flair to the adventure genre. Definitely has some SERIOUS potential, depending on how the game controls.

its all about sells mixed with reviews thats what makes a game tripple A grand turismo selles singstar sells socom selles you have to look at your platforms franchises and say what really makes the money. xbox has gears of war and halo but sony has socom jak and daxter ratchet and clank buzz singstar twisted metal shadow of the colloses grand turismo warhawk and heavenly sword will sell like hot cakes, resistance sold 2 million motorstorm sold miillions and got great reviews and even though lair got bad reviews it will still sell, wipeout sells millions, and oh belive me when i say that this is just the begening

Microsoft better hope that XBOX 360 cleanly swipe slate of PS3 this Q4 because come 2008 it will ALL OVER for the boyz in Green for this generation. By this time next year over half of the current 360 owners would have already crossed over to PS3 rather it be them owning both systems or just tossing there 360. In addition to that the Japanese market & Europe market will be a clear victory for SONY with the North America market gaps being closed in tighter and tighter. All Sony has to do is release a cheaper model for $399.99 or $349.99 and it will be a wrap.......................... .!

Listen here kid, I'm in the biz I know greatness when I see it. The Microsoft Xbox 360 has that greatness in its amazing lineup. Masseffect and halo 3 will both get averages above 9.5 for sure, easy. I can only hope Uncharted gets above a nine average, we really need that game to pull through. But in the end Microsofts lineup demolishes us, we really did fail you guys.

Animations look to be good, environments are mostly good, but character modeling looks a bit off. Gameplay appears to be on the positive side, but honestly, the game would be better off with the formulaic female protagonist than that rather insipid looking male character.

i actually agree with his comment, because if sony puts this video on the ps3 show-models at walmart.. the graphics and the adventure aspect of the game will be very attracting to the customer, making them want to buy a ps3, that's the bottom line, not everybody come to sites to check on every game's review to see if it's worth it to buy a ps3 yet..
