Games based on historical situations have often been a mixed bag. On one hand, it provides ready-made content and background for a game. After all, much of human history revolves around conflict, which gamers thrive upon. On the other hand, it can be difficult to find a solid balance between historical accuracy and fun, and usually one suffers badly for the other. Lionheart: Kings’ Crusade manages to support a solid, fun real-time strategy experience and still maintain a solid historical basis to propel the game along and not fall into a trap of gross inaccuracy.
