Pat Floyd writes: "2010 is the fifteenth anniversary of Panzer Dragoon, an anniversary that has been tragically ignored. For its Western release, Team Andromeda's classic didn't receive the triumphal fanfare of Halo or Super Mario World; it was hard for any early Saturn release to garner hype since Sega stealth-shipped the console to select retailers ahead of schedule. By the time magazines caught up, those first few games were already old and the PlayStation was about to drop. Still, Panzer Dragoon would eventually define the Saturn experience. It was a new property, impossible on previous consoles, that incorporated the amenities of home play without forsaking Sega's arcade mindset."
