Microsoft won't attend E for All

A Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that the company won't be attending the inaugural E for All Expo. The E for All Expo, organised by IDG World Expo, is scheduled for October 18-21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It is being touted as a consumer-oriented replacement for the old E3 show.

SCEA has also chosen not to participate, focusing instead on TGS, CES, DICE and GDC, according to their spokesperson. However, many other publishers such as Midway, Capcom, Sega, and SOE have indicated that they will not be attending.

Microsoft won't attend. Sony won't attend. Sega, Capcom, Midway and a bunch of other publishers won't attend.

Game over for E for All.

Wonder why companies are ditching the show.

Chexd3621d ago

guessing its because its too expensive to keep putting on shows, no new announcements...and if SOny and Ms dont back,,,other publishers will be put off taht the giants are not going.

Vojkan3621d ago

This show is not needed at all. Whats the point? To thorw away more money?

what the F*** is E for ALL ?

it will be postponed or canceled for sure ... it's PURE worthless to attend now ...

Panthers3621d ago

no reason for it. there are enough shows in the year to make all the big announcements. TGS is going to be awesome.

Norad63621d ago

I bet you $50 that it will get canceled.

EZCheez3621d ago

Because I bet you're right.

Seriously though, every time another show is added it somewhat cheapens the experience of the other shows already around. There are already enough. Let's try not to slow down developers any further from just finishing their games.
