When Gieson Cacho of A&E first saw Tetsuya Mizuguchi playing Child of Eden, I was reminded of Shigeru Miyamoto’s introduction to the Wii at E3 2006. Much like the Nintendo legend, Mizuguchi waved his arms about as if he were a conductor. Music blasted out the loudspeakers, and I wasn’t sure what was going on until the end of the presentation.
That’s when I realized that Mizuguchi was playing a shooter that looked like his previous game Rez. The big difference was that Child of Eden used the Kinect. Immediately, I wanted to play it but I didn’t have a chance to until a recent Ubisof Kinect event.
