I like the fact the we have a choice with 360. But I am in no rush for hd dvd. It would be nice as a gift but the whole dvd format war is for the fan boys. What up DC!!!!!

wot u sayin rude boy?? it's all good bro, if the hd add-on is value for money (and it seems as if hd-dvd is better than blue-ray at the mo) i'll pick one up!!! HOLLA!!!

Is it is a good value but I'm not in a rush to add that on just yet. I really want to see the movie library expand some more. I do not use a tv set I use a projector So my 360 and my projector send an image that is about 96 inches on my wall so I know that HD DVD will be sweet in my living room but dvd will get me by for just alittle bit longer. And my wife said its either the HD DVD drive or No GOW, and MAss Effect. I would not cop PS3/BR if they were giving them away with a free fish sadwich though.

I just got a Samsung 26incher and HD content looks great on there. I can't believe the tv was $400. I really wanted the TV for 360 gaming and other future machines but it looks great and also has HDMI Input(1).

I'll probally will get this HD-DVD Player as I know the quality will look nice on my set. Ofcourse I don't have a 42 incher so the small imperfections of 1080i on my 26inch wide will not make a difference. Still a cheaper value for me.

I probally won't have a 1080P tv set anythime soon, I'll probally wait for them sed's I think when they are cheaper well close to $1500 bucks for at least a 32incher. The ps3 will offer 1080P but I can't take advantage of it so anvantage xbox 360 for me. Don't care much for super storage just give me the games.

If anyone can answer this does that mean you can take MS HD-DVD drive anywhere and connect it to a Computer and watch movies on a nice Computer Monitor at 1080P or a 17 inch Dell xps laptop?

Cause if that true I will def get one.

If anyone looking for a low-budget HDTV direct TUBE with HDMI take a look at them samsungs.

good chance it will. M$ is doing a lot to make their stuff work for pc and 360. the controller is a good example.
360 wired controller works on pc and 360...or at least it will when vista launches.

I don't think so, the 360 does all of the image processin, that's why the drive is so cheap. So the drive probably wont work on anyhting but the 360.

Well I'm sure HD-DVD drives will come out for laptops and PCs but if I end up getting this one I wouldn't mind using it for my Dell XPS or Desktop. After all its USB, but not sure or think its USB Powered.

I live in BOSTON(((Go Patriots)))
