"TheGamerAccess.com is here and they just got back from their short trip to New York for Comic Con 2010. While they were there, they happened to run into Kinect and had to check it out." -TheGamerAccess.com
Lol, one thing is for sure, the PR guy was sure having fun.
Nice demo, I wish I would have seen you guys there.
They looked unenthusiastic as they played.
It is just a tech demo they decide to stick on the disk. Just shows the responsiveness of the tech. Not the best game to get people excited (could cause some people with bad reflexes to get fustrated). I will use it for cario workout though.

Key word, "PR".
Not impressed at all and could those guys look anymore bored by it..
Did you see the guy on the left he was like omg there are two cute girls next to me and im waving my arms around like an idiot. lol
Sorry i was to busy looking at the booth babies was there a Kinect demo going on... Street Fight booth babies FTW! The person holding the camera needs to learn what is important in life and focus on the booth babies more!
The babes were the first thing I noticed - unfortunately the dick cameraman insisted on keeping his attention on the 2 very bored dudes - damn, a missed opportunity!
I know right I was very upset he kept moving around! Those guys were bored anyways so might as well watch something interesting!
The people there looked bored out of their minds.
that camera should of focused more on cammy
He's damn good at his job.
Wow just wow. What has gaming come to.
well N4G full of ps3fanboys crying and in the real world people actually having fun with kinect
you call that fun? what a sad and strange little man you are..
"the real world people actually having fun with kinect " Like the people in the video? lol
you seem more interested in ps3fanboys than gaming, you mention them in every comment you make.. it sure sounds creepy...=S
Should have got Cammy to try it out.
Better than move.
I am more impressed with Kinect after this demo, but still find no interest in the thing. I know casuals will love this though... and hopefully in the future we don't have a full line up of casual shovelware that brings the industry back 15 years.
Demonstrations there look really good, people playing and seem to be enjoying them selves, with smiling and concentration going on while playing the games. The guy working at this demo booth is very enthuisiastic, as he should be, but not over the top with it, agree with the guy above, MS should get this guy demoing it more as his attitude was spot on, and he also seemed to have knowledge of the system unlike some of the other demo guys seen before in videos. Looking forward to Nov 10 to get to try it out myself. Great for gamers, not so much for PS3 fantards on here. At least it gives them somethign to moan about (on a daily basis)
We were watching the same video right?
Yes we get you were more focused on booth babes and have no interest in Kinect even before you came and posted about it here. We get that you had a missed opportunity to see girls you that you apparently don't get much of a chance to do in person to get that excited about.
so energetic......not tho i cant wait for dance central or Micheal Jackson =D
LOL @ the daily Kinect hate..still can't wait to get it They simply showed two demos of the ball and rafting mini-game..we have all seen em' and nothing has changed. The come free with Kinect and they are aimed at kids. I'm an adult who could care less about playing a rafting game..but I know when the young ones are here for the holidays they will. The fact, that Kinect has games where adults can play with their little ones at the same time is priceless. The one game on Kinect adventures that has the most potential to be a runaway hit is the bowling game (which I feel Sony should have added to Sports Champions) Wii Sports put the Wii on the map arguably off of the strength of it's bowling game. Either way..it's a free game..nobody has to pay 50 dollars to pretend to river raft or break blocks. On the other hand the commercial appea of Dance Central, The Ubisoft fitness game, and Kinectimals is pretty evident. I'm looking forward to the party and sports games like Ubisoft Motion Sports to play the football and soccer game. Game Party and Decasports has everything from Darts, Table Hockey, Volleyball and Basketball to Archery. That's what I think will be the fun games on Kinect..other than 'Child of Eden' which looks like it'll be a blast on Kinect or Move. Evil
Bowling game is part of Kinect Sports from RARE. Kinect adventures doesnt have bowling as far as im aware. Kinect adventures games seen so far are the ricochet game, river raft, the rails game, under sea game and the zero g game.
Also the bowling game doesn't even have wrist detection while Wii sports bowling does.
I believe it uses another method for spin rather than twisting the wrist
i actually haven't heard that before, if you could post a video or link with that.
its allready been discussed on here, and of course put down by all the fanboys of the usual persuasion http://n4g.com/news/565228/...
I stand corrected..The bowling game is in Kinect Sports..i thought I saw something that showed it in there but you are right..My bad Missed opportunity for Microsft as well..But I guess Rare wanted to provide some more incentive for people to buy Kinect Sports. Not into that Track and Field mini-game..but I already thought the boxing and volleyball over Xbox Live might put the game over the top..but Bowling is definately the reason I have to preorder Kinect Sports.
Still playing with balls are they? and the wobbly stick men left something to be desired when the tech demo was running, I'm quite sure the guy wasn't jiggling around like that, he was stood quite still... And when the guy "Jumped in" it took ages for him to appear. The same when he "jumped out". Can you imagine kids playing together in a living room? Jumping in and out of the field of play all the time? It seems you have to stand quite still in menus too... kids standing still? not mine, I know that much. Hopefully it improves before launch but really it smacks of Eye Toy. OK its supposed to track your body movements in 3D but whats the point if games like that river raft only need "Jump" and left right movements to control it? thats simple 2D detection that we've already seen in Eye Toy games such as Anti Grav YEARS ago. I too ended up watching the Cosplay in the background, the games are completely boring. Me and my son are playing "Start the Party" and "Eye Pet" alot, and he loves them... I do too ;) I think Microsoft need to look at making "casual" games that use the camera to show you on the screen too, kids really go for that. My son spent 5 minutes just waggling the MOVE controller in Start the Party when you claibrate with that big fat hand stuck to the controller and found it hilarious that he was holding a wobbling hand. I had to coax him into playing the game, then once that came on he was whooping with excitement at seeing himself IN the game with all the GFX surrounding him. He's 5 BTW. MOVE is out and I admit its better than I imagined, once being a hater of all this motion control jazz. I've played core games (Resi Evil 5 and Heavy Rain) and Move works, it really works well too. I simply can't see how Kinect will work with Core games (please don't say "well you can hold the regular controller"). Microsoft are alienating their core gamers, Sony have made a controller that could quite simply replace the Dualshock 3 and be used for ANY game, and if Heavy Rain and Resi 5 are anything to go by actually IMPROVE gameplay over the Joypad.
So basically your judging Kinect based off of one game..Kinect Adventures.. People (in general) are actually trying too hard to hate on Kinect.. When the games are casual..they claim it alienates hardcore..on a machine that's as hardcore as it gets When it shows hardcore games in the future..then they pretend not to have seen them Bottomline..if Kinect is a Eyetoy..then Move is a Wii-mote plus..simple as that.. Both are not true.. If you are comparing the merits of Kinect on your 5 year old..then Kinect easily matches up with Move..your 5 year old can stand still in the box to calibrate Move..but couldnt do the same thing for Kinect? I had multiple youngins over to play Move and I own both Start the Party and Eye Pet EyePet is a cute game for the kids..but you have to have everyone sit in front of the TV near the cam that faced down..it was cool they would wave the controller around to have it follow..or play or eat etc..and the presentation was cool.. But that doesnt even come close to Kinectimals..where the kids can talk to the animals..play hide and seek..use a jump rope etc..plus there are 20 animals..that game is going to be priceless to to the young ones All that and it's a launch game..imagine when Disney or other licensed games like SpongeBob show up on Kinect..kids will eat them up I own Start the party too..and that game is as EyeToy of a game as it gets..in fact I'd rather play the raft game with my young neices than Start the Party..which the older kids and adults had more fun with Kinect isn't just one game.. Kinect Sports Motion Sports Game Party: In Motion Deca Sports All look like they are going to be a blast for the family Child of Eden is going to be an amazing game on Kinect Steel Batallion is the most hardcore game of the last generation and it's now going to be on Kinect.. Plus the new Forza The hardcore 360 players don't need an extra controller to play Halo Reach,Fable 3, Alan Wake, or Call of Duty: Black Ops.. It's cool that Move adds that accessibility..but it doesnt mean Kinect has to Evil
Kinect will only ever be for the casual crowd. I am not saying that is a bad thing either. Microsoft is smart to open up to a wider demographic.
