Here is another Zipper production being put under close inspection by iWaggle3D: the highly anticipated and sadly delayed (to early next year) SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs!
. As I waiting for SOCOM 4, this video provide excellent analysis about MOVE game-play as well. I caught several interesting parts. * MOVE in SOCOM 4 are less lag than in MAG video I saw awhile back. This video shows that moving & aiming with MOVE in SOCOM 4 are faster & smooth than MAG, which is great. * Throwing grenades are also similar with Killzone 3 MOVE. Mostly just point & click. The first time we saw SOCOM with MOVE in Kevin Butler's commercial, I assume the grenade throws with throwing gesture. But this video confirmed that it's more simpler. * The knife attack also looks great. Just thrust forward with MOVE, not noticable lag. Looks very great, in my opinion. Looking forward to SOCOM 4.
I really appreciate that.
That's what she said.
will probably be working for sony sooner or later
I can't wait for this game! This looks amazing, much like RE5 with the move. I thought MAG was hard as a FPS with the move but RE5 works great for me.
...really appreciate his video analysis. I really hope we get the chance to play this demo eventually before release :)
"MOVE in SOCOM 4 are less lag than in MAG video I saw awhile back. This video shows that moving & aiming with MOVE in SOCOM 4 are faster & smooth than MAG, which is great." There is not lag in MAG using MOVE. Aiming with MOVE is fast, responsive and accurate. I'm past the point of getting used to it, and MOVE feels absolutely natural. On topic: Is it me or Socom 4 looks great? I mmean, its visuals. I wasnt interested in this game, but MOVE here looks very smooth and enjoyable. Now just need a release date. @360RR STFU dude. You are annoying. Nothing good to say?
i'm really impressed by the explosion effects of the grenades.
To the owners or editors of N4G, when you see the name iWaggle3D posted in your pending section, Post it immediately. iWaggle3D videos are synonymous with well informed and thought through comprehensive analysis. That helps game developement, he has become the defacto beta tester when it comes to move games, and the move itself.
you have my vote
Looks really fun
I wouldnt dream of using anything but a pad for SOCOM, at least when "playing seriously", but a decent video none the less.
I gave Socom a run at E3 on the pad and it played very well. I hate bounding boxes and think they make controls harder than they need to be. Away, back on point ... this game will be rock solid as is with game pad. If you need to justify having bought Move by playing Socom with it then so be it...but you would be just as happy with out Move.
...my reason to buy a Move initially but that title quickly became RE5 once they delayed that game.
with what you mean by RE5 (I know the game, just don't understand the reference.)
more or less half assed slapped inside and nothing else. even though game is bad by it self and you need to calibrate every 20 seconds-10 min, it still shows promise. but even with so bad implementation, Move shows how game can be improved, RE5 is actually playable
I'm willing to give it a try since we already have Move in the house. If it works as good as they say with Socom and K3 then I'm gonna be a real happy owner. Why are people disagreeing with Fishy when it's just his preference in using a ds3 and not the Move?
Because die hard PS3 fans have been crying out for motion control, remember them all praising the Wii back in the day and not going on about how a controller is the best way to game. Your not permitted preference, you must praise praise praise.
Edit: they did a video for MAG my bad lol These videos are really good, looking forward to more
Yes, about MAG 2.0: http://www.iwaggle3d.com/20...
this guy deserves some Views subscribed as well!
even though the soccom series were never about graphics, the game is quite a looker.
yeah but I did hope Zipper would have taken the photo-realism route as I thought S4 would have MoH type look to it but going the artsy route looks pretty good too from what we've seen in the vids. Just hoping the jungle and swamp maps portray that sense of immersion S1&2 single player campaigns did in the past
Good preview. Looks like another advantage and killer app for PS Move.
Is someone demoing SOCOM with a gun attachment. As of right now, I'm intrigued, but if I don't feel like I'm holding a gun, it doesn't seem like it would add anything. If it works just as well, then I'll hop on the train. LOL: I think the disagree bandit just ran in and hit up EVERYONE who posted.
as far as I know, there's still no MOVE/SOCOM bundle announced
I would buy both separately
Wait to preoreder this game because i will bet that close to launch Amazon will have a $10 or i could even see a $20 credit for this game. But yeah this game is going to be amazing i will be preordering it. Edit: How can someone disagree with saving money? Tech they are handing you money for preordering something from them for free.
i think the cursor inconsistency between fps and third person mode will be very annoying. someone notice zipper on this pls. great video, great game. gonna look forward to this! :)
MAG preview and MAG final. there were exactly the same inconsistencies before final. they fixed them all in MAG. hell, after seeing SOCOM4, i'm buying MAG just to support Zipper even though i hate FPS
"hell, after seeing SOCOM4, i'm buying MAG just to support Zipper even though i hate FPS" Come on, dont do that. Just get Socom 4. BTW, there still some details of MAG's MOVE implementation that need to be ironed out. The most important is a better gesture (with increased sensitivity) for knifing. The one in Socom 4 is perfect.
this guy should become a move consultant for Sony, hit videos are really thorough
The more I see the Move controls, more I like them: would be awesome to play games in a different way (more aiming sensitivity in a mouse-like fashion). The move would also be a good way to introduce the wife to gaming - let her use the Move while I use DS. LBP 2 is a perfect game for that, but can see a non-hardcore user getting into shooters such as this in co-op mode quite easily. Just hope the campaign has co-op.
i wanna play this.
I really like this guy. He really goes all out to let you know how the controls are and that is very helpful to see instead of somebody just running their mouth about it.
I know they will fix it,.. but damn this will be so damn great !!!
I like the death animations and the explosions. Tho the last additional last shot caused some weird ragdoll, the bodys fall convincingly.. Great analysis like always from iwaggle.
Controls look impressive for where they are in development. Graphics look very solid. I'm sure the audio will be excellent as well. Hoping for a high quality 7.1 mix.
Funny how that nade blew up the car across the screen.
i'm so buying this game for Move day1. and this reviewer simply rocks. his analysis of MAG and this one is awesome
