Resolution's Mike Hirst writes: When the Daily Mail starts on a misinformed rant about the addictiveness of video games – MMO’s in particular – well that just riles me. It makes me angry that the tabloids are so backwards thinking about new entertainment mediums that, as soon as something new becomes really dominant, people generate an irrational fear of it at an incredibly fast rate. First it was comics, then television, then rock music and now videogames, and the good old media is always there to promote fear and misunderstanding. So I say “Grow the fuck up” in the way a mother does to her tantrum throwing teenager.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the opening of beta registrations for “World of Warcraft: The War Within,” inviting players to explore new subterranean worlds beneath Azeroth.
