IGN: NBA Jam Review

NBA Jam revives a franchise that absolutely deserves a revival, and EA Sports proves with its design that the classic still has legs in this generation. It's an incredibly fun pick-up-and-play game with an insane competitive edge, and obviously it's a better multiplayer game than it is a solo outing. It's hard to shake the feeling that there's more to come for the franchise with little things left out for NBA Jam Round 2, but as a fresh start EA Sports nailed the Jam experience for today's generation.

Presentation - 8.0
Graphics - 9.0
Sound - 9.0
Gameplay - 9.0
Lasting Appeal - 8.0
Overall - (NBA Jam, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360) 8.5/10

Yeah, I bought a Wii a few days ago.

The games Nintendo showed at this year's E3 were awesome, so I bought one. :D

Fanboys these days..
In their view, a game that doesn't score higher than 9 isn't worth checking out.

Pathetic.

Yea its pretty bad...
When gamers buy games used just to get back at the publisher/developers for skimping on something haha. I agree tho, I did the same for Red Steel 2. If it had Online it would have been day 1, but without it, it was a buy used game to show my anger! HAHAHA!!!

I actually got RS2 day 1, and I enjoyed it, not sure if multiplayer was ever promised though.
EA could have handled the whole exclusive -> multiplat - > no online a little better.

Why? You know most modern gaming journalists hate the throwback old school gameplay a lot of wii games have. I don't even check published reviews, amazon has many from people like me =D

What sad is this was suppose to be a Wii exclusive. Now its coming to the PS3 and 360, HD graphics with online - sad for only Wii owners.

Getting the PS3 version. Don't want the gimped Wii version. HD and online are important aspects of this console generation

"HD and online are important aspects of this console generation"

Sad to be you then lol

Geez, never thought i would see the day when games were graded on their resolution lol. Crazy

I almost miss the 4:3 SD that i never knew about (or cared about) when playing my snes when i was 10. I guess i was more interested in what i was playing and not what resolution the TV and console had.
