Coming to PSN Tuesday: Sports Champions “Haunted” DLC

I thought they were unlockable somehow.
And this game needs online to stop some of the comparisons to Wii Sports :(

no, the empty blocks are unlockable characters within the game. This adds three additional characters that'll appear on the left side of the character select menu

I love Halloween releated DLC, similar to what UC2 did last year. Wish the industry did more stuff like this.

Eh. I was hoping this wouldn't happen. Rather than integrating Home avatars or a similar feature, they're going to sell optional characters now. I don't go for LBP avatars, won't go for these either. I just don't like having to pay for some minor graphical alternatives and would rather have the option to customize my own character.

I don't mind throwing a couple of bucks at this kind of thing now and then. Bought a Pirate Hat for 0.49 in home and it still brings a smile to my face everytime I see it. That's worth 0.49 to me. I never really cared about the LBP avatars, but I have to admit I'll probably buy the Marvel pack before LBP 2 comes out. Some of us don't mind paying a little extra for graphical tweaks. I'm a sucker for premium themes as well. Sure I could download any number of free themes online, but some of the new dynamic themes are well worth it for me.

I don't have Sports Champions yet, but I've got an EBgames giftcard that's burning a hole in my pocket that will probably go towards Move and this game. And I'll probably shell out 4.99 for this pack, again, because it amuses me. Zombies V Skeletons FTW. :)

Edit: Not saying you're point isn't valid. I completely respect your opinion. You don't like paying for minor graphical updates. I get that. I'm just the flip side of that coin. I really don't mind, and I'd rather pay a couple of bucks here and there and jump right in with a cool character I like then mess around with character creation screens.

So this is the solution to the "bland characters" that everyone keeps complaining about in SC. Nice work Sony. Keep it up. How about some more crazy characters or maybe some classic Sony characters next time. Sly, Drake, Kratos, Elena, Chloe, Cole, Jak and Daxter and Ratchet will be a nice start.

I remember playing WOW and holidays were celebrated with in-game decorations and related quests. Man I haven't played that in years

I loved when Resistance: Fall of Man was all skeletons for Halloween. :) Chimera skeletons were so cool!!!

I love Home during Halloween too. They're awesome at decorating.

Also...has anyone played Bully?

The atmosphere they set up for the "Halloween Night" level is...unbelievable! I've never seen it matched on anything.
