It's more close to gamecube/wii level, put on a small screen (try to use your ps2 on 5" lcd, it's beautifull)..

just a little better than psp best graphics i think, wich is good for nintendo (but psp2 will have technical advance, like before).

Yeh because sony or microsoft never have rehashed successful franchises on there machines... lol ! No matter how many times they make game based on the same wars.

And what about kid icarus? When was the last time that was made on a console...the NES? Im assuming u meant "rehashing franchises" and not "remaking games" in your comment, that's why i mentioned the Icarus thing. Because obviously its a new game and not a remake.

You need to hold a stylus in your other hand so what would you need that for if you had 2 analogue sticks?.. It's a DS at the end of the day, not a Gameboy.

...TPS and FPS games require 2 analog controllers. Some of that gameplay footage looked great but like the PSP, you could see how much better some of those styles of game would be with a second analog.

Tell me, you really think playing an TPS/FPS on the DS works if you're only holding the DS with one hand so you an use the stylus with the other hand. Dual analog would also provide the best support for both left and right handed players.

The price has thrown a definitive purchase to caution, time will tell and I will see what available funds there are come February/March next year

it really doesn't, it adds AA thats about it and of course the stereoscopic aspect.

Other than that its psp level graphics play soul calibur, tekken, or peacewalker.

People saying DOA would be on par with DOA3 were wrong.

ps if you think it is better than the psp i suggest you go look at some psp game trailers they look atleast as good as the 3DS does and the psp is 2005 tech so is very impressive aint it. :)

resident evil is all the proof street fighter 4 heck even MGS 3ds looks better than peace walker and these are all launch games

...I find it ridiculous to be comparing the 5+ year old PSP to the yet to be released 3DS. Mind you, shows you just how good the PSP was when it was first released.

However, if the handheld war was all about graphics alone then why is the PSP trailing so far behind the DS.

Stop whining about the second analog stick and pick up the best thing to happen in gaming in years....by which I mean the revolutionary and innovative control scheme(s) that Nintendo implemented into the DS- I'm still waiting on all the great full-featured RTS and TPS that could be done using a touch screen UI- maybe the 3DS' increased graphical capabilities will encourage more developers to take advantage of the uniqueness of the touch screen especially with it's ability to replicate mouse-and-keyboard-esque controls.

There are some decent looking games on there, but I do not see where the PS3/360 graphics are? If anything it is close the PSP in the graphics range, and most of those games there didn't even get close to that. I am still not impressed with this at all. I am not a Nintendo hater either I have the Wii, DS, and DSI. To me it just looks like a revamped DSI.
