Kyle of Insert-Disc writes about what makes Planescape: Torment, so great and worthy of your money.
You're right. I really should buy a second copy.
I already bought my second copy.
It's a great game, but many modern gamers are just gonna go "Durrrr, PC? And I have to have dialog choices? Durrrr".
People say durrr out loud?
I own the game on disc, but it doesn't play well on my Win7 machines. I of course will pick this up tonight. In the old days I would play this at least once a year. IMHO, it's one of the few games that has led to many of the features we come to expect naturally in RPGs today. It is my favorite game of all time as well.
I just bought this myself. I also bought Baldur's Gate, Divine Divinity, and Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magik Obscura. Next on the list is the Might and Magic 6 pack collection. I never did beat #3 on the Sega Genesis back in the day so I am gonna go take care of that problem soon. :)
I just beat Divine Divinity. Good game, too bad about its sequel. "That was agreeable!"
If I already had a copy :P?, that's a waste of money. great game though.
Great game. Played it again not that long ago.
Great game, I'd like to play it once again... someday
One of the best old school PC games that I have played in a long time. If they remastered it in HD it would be an instant buy for me.
"To make it even better, download the Ultimate WeiDU Fixpack v4.11 for modders' fixes to scores of bugs. You'll also want The Bigg's Widescreen Mod to add support for modern resolutions and GhostDog's UI mod to make the UI scale accordingly." - Source http://www.shacknews.com/
Bubbles up for Json Henry. Those mods are going to make me play it again. Great game.
As JsonHenry has shown, you can easily do that.
Ive wanted this for a while to play on my underpowered laptop. I will finally just get the game. I can acually run torchlight and boulders gate 2 so i enjoy classics on this and have consoles for newer games. Is this the masterpiece like my friends say? Hope so.
Hell yeah it's a masterpiece. Specifically, as lolzers says below, one of the best written games ever. And that's saying something for an RPG with dialogue options in practically every conversation.
One of the best written games to have ever graced a machine.
Even Kayne west things this is one of the best RPG's of all time!! of all time!!
