"Wii Remote Plus now officially revealed by Nintendo. Picture included."
good to see the first source to break the news was right! now just how much?
Nintendo is scared they see what Sony has done with the Move
True. Nothing wrong with that though, seeing as Sony wants to eat away at their market. It's just a game of chess between these companies :)
How are they scared? In what way does this tackle anything Move does? It just saves them some money on yearly bases. They had this planned since 2008. Its just lovely that first motion gaming was hated, and now Move is like the second coming of jesus. Anything any company does now....its because of Sony and Move. RIGHT, how about a cup of STFU?
LMFAO Do those cups come with paper sleeves?
It should have been like that from the start, or at least, built in as soon as they came up with Motion Plus idea. Also Ninty should have made all games support this as soon as it launched, most games DON'T support motion plus and require it. Yes it would make all those people that already had a Wii (well not all of them, only those that still play it - most people I know got one out of excitment and just got bored a few weeks after) but at least they get something that works. Since they make the motion controls a requirement rendering the Wii short of gameplay quality in many genres that simply don't fit motion, might as well make a requirement for something that works.
It would only take the price up in that time period. 70~80 bucks for a wii-mote?
hey sidar Nintendo should have included Motion+ from the start. "In what way does this tackle anything Move does?" Simple: ACCURACY. The original Wiimote simply can't compete in that department. Hardware-wise, the Wiimote IS inferior. NOw, how about YOU STFU? :)
@hot4play If having this tech integrated from the start was feasible, they'd have done it. Move comes with the tech, but it also came out years after the wiimote and also after motion+.
""In what way does this tackle anything Move does?" Simple: ACCURACY. The original Wiimote simply can't compete in that department. Hardware-wise, the Wiimote IS inferior. " MOVE IS NOT A STANDARD, Neither was motion+. So your point is invalid. So no, i have a pot of STFU right here for you, and another pot of STFU boiling right now. Want some sugar with that?
old news this was posted on Gonintendo.com a week ago.
It seems to me that Nintendo is trying to get as mush money out of the wii as possible. I mean Nintendo knows how superior technologically the Xbox 360 and PS3 are and Many believe they will release the first 8th gen console. I think this is a desperation move to make more money and in a year maybe even e3 2011 they'll announce their new console which I think will be geared to both the hardcore and casual. Maybe they'll call it the Nintendo HDS. The name seems to go with their handheld and it has an old school feel to it (NES). I expect Nintendo to go all out on the next one, If it is truly next gen. I suspect a real dvd slot possibly blu-ray as nintendo are usually late adopters to things ala CD disc based games
i can see them release their new console by fall 2012. it can hang on for another year.
I wonder if the controls would be bc.
" I expect Nintendo to go all out on the next one," Please just don't, cause you will be the first person to rage how disappointed you are...don't hold your breath. Don't even think about it. Just wait and see what they deliver.
Wii plus tech, just built in instead of "added on"?
Lame, Nintendo has really lost my interest this Gen, aside from their 1st party games. All this motion control stuff has become so gimmicky to me, I just want regular control schemes and controllers but with excellent games
This is so stupid why didn't they wait until this was done to release wii motion plus
I'd just get a couple of motion plus add-ons and pick up somebody's used copy of the game later, if it is any good.
Good thing I didn't buy a Motion plus yet.
man, it's about time Nintendo has done this. something about having to buy an add on for each remote felt a little displeasing to me. Now that Motion plus is being a true standard, I bet we might see more multiplats between Move and Wii. As long as they are good games, I don't mind.
Backwards compatibility in Wii 2? I hope so.
Keep at it Nintendo. Oh and where's the sensor bar?
It comes with the Wii?
LOL I meant vitality sensor.
I think they waited too long to release this.
Good Stuff! now when are they going to release their next generation system?
wish i have 50 bucks now..
How is this diffrent from the current wiimote controller?
this haz the wii motion plus built inside the wii remote.
I'm not sure if the Move will truly eat into the Wii market, but when motion control games are simultaneously release on the Wii/PS3 we'll see how much of an effect the Move will have on Wii sales.
Yes like HD version of Tiger 12 vs non HD version for instance....
Shh don't bring that up. The fact that Tigerwoods PS3 is being called umplayable while the motion plus version is getting 9s is all the tuth we need but this kid and many others will just make lame excuses until they find a review that says Move is better and that 1 review will beat 500 negative ones
Or Z axis Motion Controller vs Non Z Axis Motion Controller.
Gotta love the ignorance of Sony fans. SOny is 4 years late but suddenly its Nintendo that was late with motion controls. 20.00 add ons are horrible cry Sony fanboys. Do what Sony does release a 10.00 Rumble feature and force us to pay 60.00 for a 10.00 add on. Yes Sony morons, Nintendo is afraid of MOve and its 100k sales. In weeks they will catch up to the 40 plus million that the PS3 is behind the Wii. It's telling when all PS3 owners are morons who know nothing about gaming. Like you all just started playing this gen. It doesnt say much about the PS3 when 99% of the people that represent it on this site are 14 year old clueless morons.
all the dorks having battles about how move is better over a wii remote.. WHO CARES! Shut up and play your stupid motion game pretending to shoot arrows. After 3 months of the hype is gone, let it collect dust like most wii motion games.
that maybe Nintendo is doing this to make sure as many people as needed could play Zelda
You know what this means? That the wiimote with motion + included bundle is about to drop dramatically in price. I look forward to snagging that for 20-30 bucks after this is released. As much as people hate the wii, it is by far the cheapest system to own and the maximum value out of.
I have unlimited value out of it playing the VC, Wiiware, and Gamecube games alone, and when you add that its my anime viewing machine (animefreak.tv), plays my favorite games this gen, and even lets me show off my DSi photos and tells me news and weather, its quite the bang for your buck!!!! Oh and I forgot it does Netflix LOL thats a plus too
Wii is a good system and this will be a good controller upgrade.
Agreed. :) Love Wii!!
