On Tuesday Bobby Kotick, the Chief Executive Officer of Activision Blizzard talked about how Bungie, who will work with his company on a new game universe, is the last independent developer that puts out high quality content.

On the same day Bungie announced that it plans to put out an update for Halo: Reach in early October, with the biggest addition being cooperative campaign matchmaking that will allow players to tackle missions out of their narrative order.

Wednesday was the the day when Sony launched the 3.50 firmware update for the PlayStation 3, with the main new feature being 3D playback for Blu-ray movies, but with changes also made to the XMB and other services.
