iPhone Alley:
Never have I been too interested in RPG games. Zenonia 2 came out — other people were completely off the ground with joy. Me, I didn’t care. However, after playing chronoSgear, I have come to the conclusion that the game is tolerable, and that I’m actually enjoying it…a bunch!
GamesRadar: "If chronoSgear looks familiar, that’s probably because it’s pretty much the exact same game as Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes on the Nintendo DS. It offers up a unique storyline and art style, but when it comes to gameplay, it’s the identical combination of match three and turn based combat that made Clash such a great game. But while this means chronoSgear is essentially a clone, it’s also the only game of its type on the App Store."
Pocket Gamer - Looks can be deceptive. Although chronoSgear is replete with anime characters and RPG-style cut-scenes, it's actually a thoroughly engaging hybrid of puzzle play and turn-based strategy.
STP writes: "Mashing genres together is pretty common for iPhone games, and ChronoSgear attempts this with Match-3 puzzles and anime-style RPGs. We aren’t saying that this mash-up is brand new, but Axion Logic has added a layer of strategic depth not usually seen in similar games".
