CVG Interview: Sonic Colours

CVG: It's a bit dangerous, being excited about a Sonic game in the 21st century. You're sucked in by the promise of blue skies and speedy, loop-filled courses... and then at the last minute the roster of friends/warehogs/guns turn up to ruin the fun for everyone.

Sonic Colours - and we're being cautious here - doesn't look bad. In fact - and we're risking heartbreak yet again - it looks a bit like the proper Sonic game we've been crying out for on Xbox and PS3 for the last five years. Except it's on Wii.

Was this kid born in 2005?

Someone call his parents and sit him in front of a Genesis. Teach your children people.

SimonSmith2981d ago

Actually I am in my 20's and have gone back and played many of the Sonic games made, personally I find a lot of the older games to be absolutely awful with a particular nod to the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I know a good game when I play it and the games on my list and ones that are truly great and the pinnacle of the Sonic experience.

thepatientgamer2980d ago (Edited 2980d ago )

Well. I guess an opinion is an opinion.

But just because you can't make it through a game doesn't make it bad.

"Classic sonic for life!"

and sorry...I just can't let the "absolutely awful with a particular nod to the original sonic the hedgehog" slide

For me it would be.

1. Sonic Adventure

2. Sonic 2

3. Sonic and Knuckles

4. Sonic 3

5. Sonic the Hedgehog 1991

donwel2981d ago

That's pretty much my list, only I'd put S&K and Sonic 3 at 1 and 2. And maybe drop Adventure for Sonic Chaos for GameGear/Master System, I had so much fun with that game.
