Halo: Reach – Missing a Trick?

As a videogame publisher, Microsoft has seen fairly keen thus far on experimenting with the unique advantages widespread access to high-speed internet connections allow. Beta tests, demos tied to the final game and even in-pack redemption codes for free downloadable content (DLC) aiding to reduce the impact of pre-owned sales. However, with what could possibly be considered their biggest videogame product launch ever, Microsoft seems to have overlooked any such opportunity.
