Rise of Nightmares First Impressions Preview at CheatCC

CheatCC says, "As one of a few hardcore-leaning titles making their debut appearance seemingly without warning at TGS, Rise of Nightmares could certainly be intriguing, but at this point, it’s still too early to make any snap decisions one way or another. It’s certainly different from Haunt, the new pseudo-horror Kinect game from PaRappa the Rapper creator Masaya Matsuura, which features the use of first-person flashlights, a haunted house, and cartoony ghosts (though Matsuura himself obscurely described his new game as “horrible”). Rise of Nightmares’ approach is for a decidedly more mature audience, and as long as it’s better than the Ju-On haunted house simulator (notice I did not call it an actual game), it should be at least an interesting concept for a foray into motion-controlled gaming."
