I played the demo and it’s a 7 max, it looks great, put the gameplay is mediocre.

The good thing is the graphics and interesting story.

You know when you review a game you do it comparing it with the games from the same genre

Everybody disagrees with Game-ur, but I don't know why. I would totally agree. Halo: Reach is just so much more polished and versatile than Enslaved. Enslaved is OK, but it tries too hard to incorporate platforming, but it's platforming is just so vanilla it's just a waste of time. Streamline the experience, Ninja Theory, just incorporate what your game does best. Platforming for the sake of it doesn't mean the game is more fun.

Enslaved actually looks good for me. I mean, Brutal Legend looked garbage too from the demo, but the retail game was pretty good.

I don't know, the demo doesn't let you play enough. Maybe the rest of the game is interesting.

Ensalaved cant be compared to halo...theyre entirely different genres. Enslaved is a 9 for an action platformer, not for a first person shooter. To all the people throwing uncharted into the mix, you cant do that eitehr this is a brawler not a shooter. People on these boards need to think about genres before talking about scores. Thats like me saying HOW DID ZELDA GET A 10 WHEN FORZA 3 GOT AN 8?! ZOMG...retards.

I am too... although i'm still on the fence for Enslaved, I think I'd have to wait for more reviews. I just don't know if I should get it or Vanquish instead.

What would be better? I can only get one of them, along with Castelvania.

I loved the demo personally. You could see it's heavily influenced by IMO, best game of this generation, Uncharted 2. The only thing I dislike about Enslaved was that it had Unreal engine look to it.

..well.it may be just me,I didnt feel many things felt original.His hair looked like Goku in the DBZ series.His staff is the same as Gokus in the Dragonball series.It was hard for me to feel drawn to the character.I must admit the outside scenes,when he's jumping from wing to wing looks incredible.I will rent it...if it is enjoyable,I shall purchase it. I wonder if this means Ninja Theory will use the Unreal 3 engine for Devil May Cry?

The game does look nothing like Uncharted 1! They tried to make it look like UC1 with the greeny lush design full of flowers and leaf but ultimately doesn't look flawless as UC1.

Good looking game but it's a been there done that with the Platforming, it offers nothing new as we have done exactly the same thing to UC1 & 2.
Only difference with this game is melee combat rather than shooting, and thus the failing aspect is that it focuses more on platforming than combat:/

Therefore Enslaved is just another decent game

this game is simliar to uncharted 1 in many ways yes, thats why I like, uncharted is one of my fav series, but its a completer diff story, plus its not a shooter, you people are comparing this to uncharted way too much, I think the game looks epic and should at least be worth a rent, i buying it anywho , and how can u say its just a decent game, just u beat it yet, did u play through the entire game, umm no, pfft, my god gamers today are so snobby, why does everything have to be beyond perfection with you people

Who cares how it compares to Uncharted? Sure maybe the platforming and visuals are similar and whatnot, but the concept and story are so far apart that judging one based upon the other is absurd.

enslaved is awesome i really enjoyed the demo. it reminds me of uncharted and is almost as good as uncharted from what i've played. The only thing that can let it down is if it's really short.

I agree. Everything he did in the demo seemed clumsy.Even simply walking felt off. The combat wasn't even that good. What made it worse is that he was in such a harrowing situation and it didn't even feel scary, or nail bittingly on edge or even particularly dangerous. the ship he was on was falling from the sky and I didn't even feel the least bit frantic about it. He might have just as well been strolling down a path rather than falling from the sky in a broken space ship.

I'm downloading the demo right now, but I'm not going to get this until next year if its any good. I'll be getting the Castlevania Lords of Shadow Limited edition and Little Big Planet 2 this holiday season, but then just waiting for everything else to go on sale or go down in price. Theres a lot of interesting games coming out this holiday, but only 3 or 4 of them are worth buying in my opinion. Enslaved, unless its longer than 8-12 hours (which I doubt), is not going to be on that list because I need more content for a purchase of 60 bucks.

Jumps are executed simply by pushing a button. There is no challenge it seems. Just a lot of button mashing. Everything besides the gameplay is fantastic. That's too bad because the story and characters pulled me in. It's still too early to tell though. Will read what people have to say when the retail version is released. Perhaps the game mechanics will evolve with your character as the game progresses. I hope so because everything else about Enslaved was really impressive.

I am sorry, but I just have to ask.... how exactly do you think the jump should be executed ?

I mean just about every hack and slash, platform, fps etc that give you the ability to jump, do so by having a simple Jump button.

I am just asking because I would like to know how you would go about it.

I knew someone was going to ask this. What I meant was that you don't even have to aim for where you jump. You just press the square button(or whatever it is) and you automatically leap onto a platform or grab onto a pipe. It feel really effortless and lacks challenge. Play the demo and you will understand what I'm talking about.

I played the demo, I kind of get what you mean, but I have to say I still prefer it to some that literally tell you to " press A " to jumb or climb an object and I mean everytime you want to climb something, press A.

best example, in SC conviction. in all the old SC games you had a jumb button you they never really dictated when you needed to jumb. I could be sanding anywhere and if I felt like jumping, I will jump. In SC, he does nothing, unless you approch an object and then it pops up telling you to press A. etc.

...gameplay was lazy which is a shame, as you said, I also hope the game mechanics evolve as the game progresses. The demo was the begining of the game (I assume) and kind of acted as a tutorial for the player.

I need a few more in depth reviews before I decide.

Enslaved FTW!! I can't believe I once called this game stupid...I downloaded the demo last night and I ate my words big time. Nice transition between the interior slave ship to the exterior,smooth controls. Definitely on my games to get list

This number warms my heart. I had high hopes and low expectations for this game. I love the setting and the demo felt good (to me).. Can't wait to get my hands on this
