GamerZines writes: Fumito Ueda, the creative force behind memorable PlayStation 2 cult classics ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, has revealed that it has been a long-term ambition to revisit his celebrated titles on PlayStation 3.
. Obviously not bad at all. : )
Great avatar by the way. Now that's the real DMC :)
I'm personally very excited about this. I played SoTC up to the 4th boss then had to return the game to my friend. (LOVED the game) Never played Ico. So this is arguably the best HD remake yet.. or maybe it's Sly cooper collection >.< What a perplexing dilemma.
It will always be GOW collection to me but these are both right there behind it. =D
Only reason why i left out GoW collection was that I've played both (and own) for my ps2.. Also, it was the first collection, so the technique of re-masteries was new. With these games, I expect them to take the bar even higher since we know it's possible..
I finished Ico but never SoTC. Really looking forward to the HD port.
... Well go do that then, What's the problem here?? xD Edit: Oh right..yeah, He already has.. My bad lol, gotta read the title more slowly next time. :D
We all did Mr. Ueda, we all did.
The man knows wat he's talking about, we need more developers like him.
I have a question: Is his team making the HD upgrade, or is it outsourced to another team? Does anybody know?
. I don't think his team have the time to do the collection & The Last Guardian simultaneously... Unless, I was wrong about that.
the ICO team I think is focusing more on TLG and they can always outsource the codes for ICO and SoTC to 3rd party dev like what we've seen with GoW. nothing will change in terms of story and everything, just going through HD upgrade and trophies as well. but I think they'll have a close monitoring on the progress.
I think another team will probably handle porting it to PS3, but I can't imagine Ueda would approve of his games being ported unless he was very confident that they were being handled by a talented team. He actually seems pretty excited about it, which tells me it's in good hands. Fumito Ueda is among the most particular and fastidious developers, with perfectionistic tendencies that rival Yamauchi and Kojima.
and our dream has come true. oh great and wise Fumito Ueda show we will once again see your vision come to life only this time in glorious high definition so that we can appreciate these classics and have a higher level of respect.
Now for a Ratchet and Jak collection, thats all I ask
guess you didnt want to revisit it enough or you would have bought a 60G launch unit, like me...
and beat ICO & SotC. Might revisit the HD Collection. Personally want a Kingdom Hearts HD Collection since I've never played them.
